Z Clip

A traditional piece of frame fixing hardware, typically die stamped from copper, supplied bent into the shape of a letter Z with pointed ends. Used mainly for fixing stretched canvasses into frames.

Zeolite

Zeolites (Greek: zein, "to boil"; lithos, "a stone") are minerals that have a micro-porous structure. (see Wikipedia article). They are used in the manufacture of high-quality preservation Matboard (Mountboard) in order to trap airborne pollutants which might otherwise damage the artwork. (Ref.WAAC Newsletter)
