Re: Hows everyone coping with the new Arcadia web site?

I think the new site is clean, bright, fresh, fast, easy to use, and better than the original site. However, the original site was the best there was in our marketplace. Easy to use, great for comparing the cost of chop verses length, stock levels shown, and instant acknowledgement. Makes you wonder...

Re: MOULDING SUPPLIER - AHS

Quite correct Prospero, I won't be nipping out there to collect anything in a hurry. I have found what the customer wants and it looks very much like an Arqadia moulding that I have on my wall and that I originally offered up to the artwork. What do I know!!!!!!! Thank you BaBaZa for your local know...

MOULDING SUPPLIER - AHS

I wonder if anybody has heard of a moulding supplier called AHS - a customer has asked me to get one of their mouldings, and I have not heard of them.

Thank you in advance.

Re: Thermal label printers

Hello Mark I have also been thinking along the same lines. There have been posts on FF about the same thing in the past, and I was very interested in the comments. One member said he has one and finds he can't live without it now. I remember people saying that the ink does fade, and on price tags et...

Re: BACK OF FRAME SUPPORT MOULDING

Mark, that is exactly the moulding I am talking about. Thank you very much. I really cannot ever remember ordering from them - but I must have done. I remember having this moulding in stock for ages, used it once, and then kept on going back for it. It really does do what it says on the tin. It stil...

Re: BACK OF FRAME SUPPORT MOULDING

Prospero, detail has never been my strong point! They are about 70mm wide, with a beautifully machined channel about 15-20mm from the back. This allows for a screw to be inserted at an angle into the main frame. This moulding I have here is beautifully tooled and comes from a quality manufacturer. I...

BACK OF FRAME SUPPORT MOULDING

A few years ago I bought tulip length moulding which is used on the back of the frame to support a very large image, when the customer (usually photographers) insist on a very narrow frame. This moulding is screwed onto the back of the frame, on top of the backing board, to give a ridged firm and sa...

Re: Who Sells Mylar Film Please

Thank you for that David. I had already looked at the new catalogue and missed it! Still, what's new!

I must say, the Lion catalogue to me is very much like the framers handbook!

Re: Who Sells Mylar Film Please

Thank you all very much for such a speedy reply. Steven you have won the lolly! As soon as I clicked the link, I recognised the website. But I had forgotten that LJ now own CXD, and of course we can get supplies through Arqadia. With the combined knowledge on this forum, we ought to be able to solve...

Who Sells Mylar Film Please

I have just run out of my last bit of Mylar film and I cannot remember where I purchased the roll. Does anyone please have a company name where I can purchase just a roll - small order quantity. I am sure loads of you use this, and you will save me 35 minutes trailing through Google. Best wishes eve...

GIELLE 4000E UNDERPINNER

I have a Gielle 4000E underpinner (2003) and want an adjustable fences for this machine, just like most other manufacturers supply or have as an accessory. Does anyone have a similar underpinner or any suggestions please? Also does anyone have an instruction manual for said machine. (Have tried Wess...

FRAMING/MOUNT DECORATION IMAGES

I am updating my website and wonder if anyone knows of a website where I can purchase images relevant to our industry. I am looking for some nice hand finishing images or maybe an artist at work! If I dont find a good website, I may even have to resort to using my camera. :Slap:

Re: "Liquid metal" and other metallic paints from Lion

NYAF A very detailed and clear description of all the colours, and enough information to allow me to buy a selection of colours, as I am slowly but surely (Not exactly kicking and screaming!) going down the HF route. I am sure your efforts will be appreciated by the Lion management as well as eveyon...
