Morso UP-M underpinner
I have posted this in the welcome page but guess it is probably the wrong place so please excuse me repeating it here. I am also aware of Neil Stout, he is very helpful.
I am relatively new to the framing world having inherited some basic kit. I have just bought a secondhand Morso UP-M underpinner, in not too great condition but it was cheap! Has anyone got for sale a 7 mm cartridge set please? Secondly could I have an opinion on the hydraulics side. Whilst the pressure rod goes down to a stop, the hammer does not want to come up. I have followed all instructions re filling with oil. When I pull the hammer up, it issues fluid from the filler. So it is not stuck. Could it be seals? If so does anybody have a set for sale please? All help in my new venture much appreciated.

Hi, I also purchased a second hand morso underpinner, I can't find any useful videos or information on the Internet showing how to use this machine, have you? I mean like how to change v-nail sizes, how to adjust the head for clamping the frame, its not straight forward like other underpinners seem to be

I have downloaded the DanList technical data from their website. This has a good exploded drawing of parts and how they are assembled. I am just stripping it down and cleaning. As soon as I get a set of seals then I will replace them. The prices for parts are hugely expensive and only available from 2 UK distributors. The hydraulics are such that as the post comes down to secure the frame the plate underneath pushes up the anvil to place the wedge. Other than that ??????

Thanks, I'll download that too, I'm sure it will help, thanks again

I think your best plan is to make your machine resemble that drawing ..with half a pound of SEMTEX.SussexSniper wrote:I have downloaded the DanList technical data from their website. This has a good exploded drawing of parts

Re: Morso UP-M underpinner
I wasn't expecting a post code but that's pretty vague, never mind.
I live in the North ......... of the village of Angmering in the West of Sussex and work in the centre of it. BN164EA.

Does anyone know if all size wedges fit in this machine or do I need a seperate chute for each size wedge?
