Re: Buying a business premises/applying for commercial mortg

My understanding of it is that a commericial mortgage is not a 'mortgage' in the true sense, it's a business loan and works slightly differently to a normal mortgage. Usually the lender will want between a 20 - 40% deposit and at least 3 years worth of accounts. Also the interest rate on this type o...

It's probably because it's been wound tighter on the core. This would make it appear to have less on it.

Re: A novel idea!

I have one of these papers at the top of my staircase in a house i'm renorvating at the moment. Still need to decide if I want pictures in the frames though. It certainly created a talking point amongst my friends when I put it up. I think we must be one of the few professions that actually do take ...

Re: outer packaging for an A4 frame

Hi DavyM The type of packaging you are after for your presentation style box would have to be a die cut box, which unfortunately would not come cheap and you would need to order in bulk if you wanted to get the cost down to anything I suspect you may be wanting to pay. Packaging is often an aftertho...

Re: Burnt frame

Thanks Prospero for coming up trumps yet again. Your'e a Star!! I'll give what you suggest a go. I've already done the prep work of sanding it down to remove the damage done by the candle so we'll how it goes from there. I also think much of it could be disguised if it was hung from a different spot...

Re: Burnt frame

Thanks Guys. You've just confirmed my worst nightmare - a full strip it looks like then :sweating: unless any one knows where I can pick up a replacement from, 30" diameter apperture with a 6.5" width circular frame - as another option. Or as prospero says plan B!! which is what I may end ...

Burnt frame

Just had this brought in by a customer of mine. Apparently they've had the frame sat on the mantlepiece with a lit candle next to it (customers! ) and this is the result. They are now asking me if there is anything that can be done with it to repair the damage. I have a few ideas of how to ta...

Re: my second problem of the day!

Sign maker suppliers may be the answer here. A lot of signs come with aluminium edges into which they slot the purpex signs, otherwise have you thought about window companies who manufacture extruded aluminium frames?

Re: Anyone seen one of these?

Just thrown a boat load of those away a couple of weeks ago! They came off some aluminium frames that were used to stretch canvas prints over. I have a feeling she said that they had been sent over in kit form from Australia by her brother, so doubt you'll get them here. My customer thought it was a...

Re: Updated Estlite not responding Help please!

Hi John Thanks for the info. I decided to see if a system restore would work - but to no avail. It worked perfectly well after the initial install, as some users have also seem to have found, but after turning the computer off and then opening the program up the following day this is when the proble...

Updated Estlite not responding Help please!

Hi I've just updated my version of estlite to 8.26 and have encountered a bit of a problem. When I load the program, everything comes up on the screen as it should but I can not access any of the boxes or close the programme down. A message comes up with Estlite.exe not responding. I'm a bit of a du...

Ok, bags I can play at being Kirsty! I totally agree with what Kev has said. I did a similar thing at my last place. Cut down on the shop area and made more room for working and storage. I didn't loose any customers and it meant that I could cater for higher volumes of work, whilst working more effi...

Re: Picture Frame Cardboard Boxes

I'm guessing looking at them that they are only single wall board, so they wouldn't be suitable for posting - not sturdy enough. These type of boxes have to be made from a form, which is the costly part of producing them even though it's a one off fee. However you would need a form for every size yo...

Re: Sole Trader - best business account ?

I had a really bad experience with Santander. Originally I had one of the original Abbey business accounts which was unlimited free banking indefinitely and all was great until Santander took over. They started sending out not only my cheque & paying in books but also bank cards and pin number t...

Re: NON FRAMING - but uses mouldings ☺

I made a FOR SALE sign board for the last property I sold out of correx and stuck a polcore moulding on it to neaten it up, which was outside for at least six months and was absolutley fine. It stood up well to every element known to man including snow and frost! It would probably have lasted foreve...
