Re: Can't connect from my Blackberry
Blackberrys will always work in a proxy mode, so it would mean access to the forum would be impossible. Can the admin team not simply block IP addresses?

Re: MOUNT BOARD CHOICE
I only use Arqadia boards or to be precise, boards from Arqadia on my Gunnar CMC. I used to offer several ranges of boards, Bainbridge, Crescent etc, because I could buy them by the sheet, but after several bad experiences of marked or damaged boards I changed to the supplier I use now. I do find so...

Re: CMC Blades
Nice find Ian, but.....I think your maths may be a bit out on the equivalent number of blades for the money! And would a more accurate test have been to cut some mounts?

Re: suppliers
I'd actually welcome the odd sales call or request from a rep to drop by and see how it's going. This ISN'T particular to Lion! It's a GENERAL point! I hope the clarifies things and that no offence has been caused. thanks, Calico I think Calico has an incredibly valid point here, I had the first re...

Re: Linen wrapped liners
It's usually best to cover the liner before cutting to size on a morso or guilotine rather than a saw, that should give you a better finish on the corners.

Re: Sticking plaster(s)
It doesn't matter how careful I am around sharp knives etc, I am frequently nicking my fingers on blades. These nicks sometimes require a plaster to cover it over to carry on working. Not done one yet that needs stitches! Most of the plasters I have used are pretty rubbish and don't last a day, esp...

Re: Spring Fair 2012.... What Are You Going for?
Forgot to say, I am going on Monday by train. Looked up the cost and it is only about a tenner more than I would spend on fuel without the hassle and no long walk from the car park/standing in the freezing cold waiting for courtesy bus. Lucky you, best price return tickets I could get were £80 each...

Re: SPRING FAIR anyone ?
Apart from visiting Steve at hot press and getting a free red lanyard, there does not really seem to be much in the way of interest at the spring fair this year. My main supplier will not be there as it would appear is the case for many of the other moulding suppliers. Mind you, at a time like this ...

Re: cresent bright cores
I've used the crescent brite cores many times and never thought the coloured core influenced the surface paper colour. I agree it's not for top level work but for childrens pictures and decorative art it's a very good range. I just wish it was more easily available!

Re: How was December?
December didn't set the world alight, but it was a little more than acceptable on the Bespoke framing front. However, our readymades were going out the door faster than Richie could replace them!!! Not as much last minute work this year but I'm honestly not complaining about that. The order book for...

I don't think Robo was aiming at the mount cutter but more to the point that the Omer gun was a sort of kalasnikov of point guns *fires anything) I might be wrong, but He'll probably put me right!

PVA glue for me, unless I'm in a hurry then it's fillet tape from Lion and sod the expense!
I'm always worried that double sided tape will be OK for now but fail later
