Picture Hanging.

I have had a call from a client who wants someone to hang a large frame in their new home. She is based in Queenspark, North West London. I am unable to assist due to other commitments and distance. Is there anyone nearby London, who would be prepared to do the hanging for her? Please let me know ei...

Ready made Frames

I had someone contact me this week, who wanted ready made frames of different sizes.

He is based near Stansted Airport on the Herts/Essex border.

Any suggestions of who does ready made frames that he could contact.

Cheers,

George.

Hi Catcher, How does the adhesive perform on Lion's fillet tape perform with fillets used on window mounts? I have had problems with some double-sided tapes in (excessively) hot locations - my gallery window, for example. (Not the best advertising I have ever produced for my services...). Hi...

Try this Fillet tape from Lion, use it to fix the slip/fillet to the underside of the frame.

Ouch!!!!

Just got a quote from John Jones - in the region of £200.

Can't believe it is so expensive to mount onto aluminium.

Cheers

I think one of the reasons for mounting on aluminium is for the flatness. ie almost no orange peel shows in the surface of the print when mounted. Osgood, I think you hit the nail on the head. In the documentation he mentioned that it could be possible that if the print was mounted onto normal back...

Mounting onto aluminium

It is a long time since I posted on this forum, but, I look in from time to time when I get a chance. I have had a print brought to me that a client bought in Australia. The photographer has recommended that this be mounted onto aluminium and also given her framing suggestions. These are apparently ...

Thanks Mark, I have found some nice looking pine at Homebase which will suit my needs, so I will make the box with that and then also use pine for the base which will be slightly recessed so the fixings will not be higher than the edge of the box. The fixings for hanging will be the slot type made f...

Thanks for the feedback John and Mark.

The framebox was just an idea, but I am going to use pine if I can get what I have in mind.

What is your recommendation with regard to the back, would mdf be sufficient to hold the bat? - or should I use something else.

Box frame for cricket bat.

I'd like some advice regarding making up a box to house a cricket bat. I am considering using Arqadia's framebox-layering about 3 of the 1inch on top of each other. What has been found to be the best way to make up a box to hold something of this weight? I am going to use the clips from Lion, as has...
