have posted this tip before to clean museum glass: or any other coated glass
de-ionized water,proprietary polymers and microfibre cloth, spray onto cloth and gently rub in circles. this will even take off heavy grease smudges with no streaks.

i have done this type of thing - get a sheet of mirror and work from the back....cover it with dc fix contact, (prep work would involve tracing/copying the design)....carbon copy the design onto the contact and cut out like a stencil. to remove any unwanted mirror to leave the design - first use ...

hey lefrisp - i have the larger version of this now for five years bought second-hand......only negative is jumbo mounts dont fit...its a fantastic, accurate, reliable and easy to use machine - i have used keencut also and there is no comparison.

thats the way i cut them too - freehand, also cut a lot of square frames this way also with the off-cuts - its so quick :shock:

hi roboframer - i find distilled water fine for cleaning the glass of light dust but not for a greasy thumprint or heavier stains - thats my experience. im used to cutting glass freehand for many years before i used the wall mounted cutter so i just find it easier, quicker and in the case of coated ...

sorry - i didnt post a link :| they have a very large catologue too, costs 50 euro and is great for the customer too as they can browse through it and select what they want - i find browsing online is not the best way......

tip for cleaning all coated glass, micro-fibre cloth and de-ionized water/polymers - whats that you say? its the stuff thats used for cleaning the screens of flat screen tvs', available at most electrical stores :wink: no smears etc.....

as regards scratches - a good cutting wheel made by 'toyo' as ...
