American Artist

I have a customer who is looking for a print called "The Girls" by American artist Art LaMay. I have included a picture. Does anyone know of a publisher in the UK who has this print. I can't seem to find anyone in the US who can/will ship to the UK.

Cutting bevels on 3500 micron mount board

Hi all,

I need some advise on cutting 3500 micron mountboard on my Ultimat gold. I don't seem to be able to get the blade to cut through the board, it appears to be bending up as it goes through. I have fitted a new blade and tried it at various depths but to no avail. I'm sure the answer is ...

I recently had to make a shadow box with a velvet lining. I dry mounted it in my HotPress without any problems. Best to lower the pressure to avoid crushing the foam core at the edges. Can't remember the recomended pressure for foam core as the figures are at the workshop.

Thanks Kev, That's just what I was looking for. I think the fixed cost option+materials will be the most straight forward as you say. I really appreciate your help. :D :D :D

Thanks everyone for there help. I have spoken to the RIR museum shop in Belfast and they do not have this particular print in stock anymore.

Work tables - what surface do you use?

Hi Alzibiff,

I use carpet tiles stuck down onto 12mm MDF. Normally I will use a sheet of Mountboard laid on top as well.

Hi Frameus,

My first post since joining and I didn't think it would be a IT related one. The .zip file they sent will be a compressed file ( or zipped) making it small enough to send by e-mail. It will probably be a compressed Excel file which can be opened by double clicking on the zip file ...
