Tall skinny pictures

Hello everyone any ideas on the following would be a great help.....

I have got 4 tall skinny pictures and am wondering if they would look better with a wider mount at the bottom and top than the sides, visa versa, or all the same all the way around......

Does that make any sense?

Thanks everyone .... I guess I will leave it where it is then! I have one of the measurement systems and it works for me.... the only trouble I have is using the mitre trimmer..... it can sometimes take a while trying to get the pieces exactly the same length. I went into Frameco a couple of weeks a...

The problems I have had and it has cost me a fortune! First the foam core kept bending so I bought lots more, then the shop I bought t...

I was doing ok and now the fomecore has bent out of shape slightly as I think I have pulled the velvet around it too tightly causing it to bend a little..... I am now going to star...

I'm sure I read somewhere on this forum (or another) that its best to get the ones for soft wood and use them in any wood as it holds the joins better? I may be dreaming this tho ...... Hi Markw, thanks for reply, couldn't use the fishing line as these medals are really big and that would only secure them at the top. I have put acid free tape across the hole at the back of the foam core and pressed the medals into the recess so they have stuck onto the tape. I am hoping this is ok ...

So far I have cut out the foamcore and the medals fit snugly into the holes.... (just like to share with you all...

Hi Markw.....

what I mean is not having the medals lying on top of the montboard but so the front surface of the medal is level with the surface of the mountboard. I hope that makes some sense...... any ideas?

Cheers

medals

Hello everyone.... a friend of mine has asked me to frame 3 medals. I am a hobby framer and have not done this before. I assumed, (stupidly), that I could make a box frame and attach the medals onto the mountboard by the back, but she has asked for the medals to be recessed. I have been scratcing my...
