The stress on the frame has nothing to do with the number of hooks, it is a function of the angle of the supporting cord/wire. That is, the closer to horizontal, the greater the force.

Make your own gum tape dispenser

We have found this nifty item to be invaluable over the years. The supports and guides are positioned for three sizes of tape, 2in, 3in, and 4in, screwed to a piece of plywood and attached to the end of the workbench. rack.jpg Cutters for each size are fashioned from a piece of plastic guttering Tap...

Sellotape is what we use.

Though I suppose any self adhesive tape would work.

However, while in these matters I never like to judge too hastily, the sceptic in me wants to run a mile when I see phrases like “The LOC fellowship is being funded by Nielsen Bainbridge...”, and “Nielsen Bainbridge has been a supp...

Re: 5 levels of framing question

Just so that everyone knows, and contrary to the views of some folk who might suggest otherwise, I am a firm believer in the use of conservation materials in jobs that warrant their use. Our business is well known for its conservation framing to the highest standard and customers have sought us out,...

Full marks to Lion for diagnosing the fault and making the necessary repairs.

Perhaps Martin could publish a step by step guide to fixing this flaw for the benefit of other owners who may encounter the same problem.

Even better, use the tabs on your browser. Keep the 'View Unread posts result in the first tab, and create a new tab window for each item by wheel-clicking (or ctrl-clicking) on the little orange square to the left of each topic title. That way you will never miss any new post, and you can keep open...
