I am selling my Morso F. It is in good condition, comes with a pair of spare blades, blade box, and spanner. I have been using it for a photography project that is now finished, had it about 3 years, it has been fantastic. I haven't really got the room for it so it has to go. It is near Wantage in O...

Re: Dirty Glass
I had a sheet of 'Artglass' from Wessex Leamington with a big scratch in the middle.
I emailed twice with no reply. I am hoping next time I go in I will get some sort of recompense.
They have always been good in the past.

Re: MORSO KNEE ..
I was think a while back how awkward it was lifting the old knee up, (my morso is sitting on 2 3x2s so I can get the shavings out of the front) I thought this machine needs a stop , then I saw the nut sitting in the slot at the top. Dohhhh !

Re: Square artwork
Trouble is I am the customer, framing my own artwork. Sitting on your own on the workshop sometimes one questions oneself. Hence the post. All of your ideas are great food for thought, thanks

Square artwork
Advice, preferences please.
A square piece of art, in a window mount,
should the frame be square with equidistant
mount board on all edges,
or rectangular with 3 equal and the lower wider?

Re: gold mountboard
I used 2mm brass in the end, a couple of hours to cut it out, but it is in keeping with the project (1850s Daguerreotype)

I have to make a small brass mount for a movie, I was thinking I could get away with gold card, is there a good way of making the bevelled edges look gold, can anyone recommend the best 'metallic looking' gold mountboard? Thanks it has to be at Ealing Studios for Monday !

Re: What wood glue is the best?
As mentioned if the pine is moist and is then put in a centrally heated house no glue will stop a joint coming apart (Speaking from years of joinery. But as someone said Cascamite is really strong, but PVA should do the trick if the joints are good

Re: Cost of Photoshop
Not that I condone this, but for those of you who have children or know anyone with a .ac.uk email address you could buy PS5 for them for Christmas as a student version and then'borrow' it from them...Just a thought.
