Re: how reliable are couriers at delivering orders on time these days.
We get van deliveries from Centrado and Wessex which are never ever late. Fab service. We get courier deliveries from mainline, dj Simon’s, Lion & Larson Juhl. They mostly use either Tufnell or Dx and locally both of these companies are very reliable, I can’t remember the last missed delivery (p...

Re: Upgrading my table saw.
I have a 1962 Wafkins bursgreen 10” saw (I think it’s an AGS10), single phase with cast iron top.
It’s fab.
They can be found second hand for around £500 and will last forever. They are basically a free tool, if you keep it 5 (for 20!) years you’ll get your money back.

Re: Which accounting software.
I use FreeAgent which is free if you have a nat west or RBS business account (I actually pay for it though)
It does everything I need including VAT and payroll and sends the info to HMRC. I also use it to produce my year end accounts for HMRC and companies house.

Re: What's the going rate for framing a football shirt?
We charge £125, but we don’t like doing them when we’re busy so we usually direct the customer to a framers in Halifax who specialise in sports shirts. I think they charge around £80. They do a good job, use a CMC to put “MAN UTD” or “CANTONA” or whatever on the mount. I’ve not had anyone come back ...

Re: Out of town
Does the L&T Act extend to commercial properties, I thought it was to provide protection for residential properties/ Yes, it applies to commercial properties. As long as you haven’t breached your lease then you are protected. The landlord cannot change the terms, only the rent. There are a coup...

Re: Out of town
When you signed your lease (originally) did you opt out of the Landlord and tenant act?
If not, then you can’t be served notice.
I’ve just been through this.

Thanks Alan I’ve managed it. Just the silver acres, not sure what the black ones are for, but it’s done the trick.
Thanks again.

Hi Alan
Thanks for the reply, I had a look and couldn’t spot the Allen screws, are they teeny tiny?
Thanks
