Fletcher 2100 spares

I need a new measuring scale - the one on the squaring arm. I've looked at the usual suppliers online but without success. The one on the arm measures 2mm short leading to the occasions when I fail to add the 2mm with predictable results. Whilst on the subject of the squaring arm, (the most awful la...

Re: Waxing Bare wood frames

I use bare wood quite frequently and my go to wax is Renaissance. It produces a very good sheen, is easily polished and combats finger marks. Lost Morso tool

I have manage to lose the tool for removing my morso blades. Does anyone have a spare that they would sell to me? Alternatively can some one give me the measurement of the appropriate socket. I only have metric - 19 too loose 18 won't go on.
Any help gratefully received.

Morso/Underpinner angles

I have an Alfa underpinner with a fixed fence for joining mouldings. It is fixed at 90 degrees. When I put two lengths of moulding on it when they are perfectly together there is a small gap indicating that the Morso is cutting fractionally under 90 degrees. Can anyone explain this, and does it mate...

Alpha M1 underpinner problems

I have not used my underpinner for a while and now I have two problems - unrelated or not? The wedges are not being driven right home, (using obeche), and I am getting a horrible clang intermittently. I've looked at the workings and I see an angled metal block which seems to act as a cam for the mec...

Re: Glass cleaner

Thank you for the recommendations. A couple of products I've not come across plus using paper which I haven't tried. Here's to some sparkling glass.

Glass cleaner

Can anyone recommend a glass cleaning fluid that does not leave smears that take forever to polish out? Perhaps someone has a home brew remedy?

For Sale C & H Advantage Pro M48 (metric) updated with pics

I am selling a C & H Advantage Pro M48 mount cutter. I have had this for a number of years. When I got it was in very good condition, and I have given it only light use since then. It is complete with squaring arm, production stops, set up blocks, original manual and supplementary instructions f...

Re: Cutting large sheets of glass by hand

I've got an old C & H Advantage Pro 48" mount cutter, and I cut all my glass on that, (up to 4' x 3' - I haven't needed/got the bottle for 60 x 40) . I just slip the glass in as if it were mount board and run a standard glass cutter along the edge of the pressure plate. Takes care of the sq...

Re: MORSO KNEE ..

I have a knee problem - probably down to too much hill walking, but my GP referred me to a NHS physio who gave me some exercises that have made a big difference. If you are willing to stay with the exercise programme it is really worthwhile - and it's FREE.

Re: Framing a pastel

The board faced with pastel paper sounds like an interesting option - one to explore. Of course I'm the framer not the artist so I have to know my place! I should perhaps make clear that I was not suggesting sticking down the edges. I was thinking of a wide spacer stuck to the backing well away from...
