Re: AR glass vs AR acrylic
Are we talking AR or UV protection?
In my experience when it comes to AR acrylic its usually done with a fine etching on one surface rather than the coatings you get with glass - or am I wrong?

Hi,
Have you thought of making one with vertical partitions for mount board storage?

Hi,
Try NE Plastics
https://www.neplastics.co.uk/
They used to be based at Sidcup but now at Dartford. I use them for my acrylic but I know they do all sorts of fabrication etc.
Regards,
Graham

Re: Hanging Artwork Flat Against Wall
If you want them to hang parallel and vertically in line i would use aluminium split battens. you can by it in long lengths and cut so size or if the pictures are to sit tight against each other then one long length. Gooding Aluminium sell it in different sizes 0208 692 2255 https://goodingalum.com/...

Hi,
I'm sure Sarah would rather not hear this as i'm sure she woud rather sell you a new machine but, i bought a refurbished machine from Sarah at Gunnar and its been brilliant. Try giving her a call - she may have something on their books.
regards,
Graham

Re: V Nail Cartridge Issue
Its the spring that has stretched (always remove the cartridge as soon as you have finished with it) and doesn't have enough force to push the last few nails to the block.
I bought my replacement spring from Joe at DJ Simons - no more problem.

Re: Glass cleaning support
I made my own from a piece of trellis from a DIY store and felt buffers which i use everyday on customers' frames.
it costa lot less that the Lion one and folds down for storage when not in use.

Hi,
I use NE Plastics. used to be based in Sidcup but I believe have recently moved to Dartford.
Very helpful and I usually collect as it normally works out cheaper if I'm going that way.

Graham

hi,
yes, I glue and pin just as a normal frame - my underpinner accepts cassettes with v nails down to 3mm.

Re: Brush up on techniques - advice please
when making a spacer frame I always cut on the morso as per the outer frame and use the underpinner so this frame can be easily removed should the glass need to be replaced.

Re: Knee Playing Up
I'm 70 now but purchased a Morso H ( a lot cheaper than the EH) a couple of years ago due to knee problems and haven't looked back. I have had partial replacement of both knee joints so when it started to hurt again it was a no-brainer decision.
