Re: Acrylic blocks

I'm only going to say I used to offer the acrylic block option, I hated doing it, the whole thing was too much hassle. What I'm saying is I've been there and I understand the frustration :) Life is too short, if (and it's very seldom) that someone does ask for it I outsource it to a local sign compa...

Re: Looking for a saw

I’ve got an old 939MA that I’m thinking of parting with. But I’m a long way from you! I did look at the 939 but my problem is that the saw needs to come through a standard door frame! From what I've found is that the 939 won't fit :( Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm under the impression that the fro...

Looking for a saw

ok, I think I need a saw - a nice 2nd hand Cassese 969 seems to be what I need. I'd be interested to hear if anyone has one for sale :)

I thank you

Re: CS-88 Jamming

Hi Mark

I had a similar issue a while back - it seemed to be caused by the cartridge spring (fiddly thing to replace btw)

Re: Need to make a lot of the same size frame ...

I would still consider ourselves in the bespoke bracket but recently (6-8 months) we've been doing some basic framing for an online guy that does printing - nothing too serious - I think the the max size on the site is around 20x16. It started off small but at the moment we're supplying about 400 fr...

Re: Morso guillotine

If the only thing you've done is change the blades then I reckon you've got a little bit of wood chip somewhere restricting the movement.

Hi Tom

Try Neil Stout - the framing engineer on 07793 709123. He usually has a few refurbished bits, I'd trust him on quality too btw

Re: Not happy with new Keencut blades

I have nothing to add regarding the actual issue here but I do want to say that I've spoken to Andy several times over the years and would have no doubt that any concerns that will be resolved. Based on the service & support I have received from Andy I can honestly say I'll be a lifetime custome...

Floating an old poster

Evening everyone, I've got an old poster (photos attached). The owner wants it float mounted as they, understandably, want to see the edges - quite literally wear 'n tear. The only thing is I can't get anything to stick to it. It's actually fairly brittle & there's a odd coating on the back. Any...

Hi Michelle

Do you have an image or can you describe where the gap happens i.e. at the front? back? What underpinner do you have?

I don't know Mark, but based on the fact I nearly broke my back just taking it out of the box and moving it about 5 feet, I'd say he's a legend :)

Re: Engraver for plaques etc?

Hi Alan

Thanks for the tip - I've looked it up and whilst it looks like a nice thing to have I don't think it's for me at the moment. Now, if I had plenty of spare time and money I'd have one on it's way :)
