yea I have done thousands of thousands of mounts over time just noticed how they were tlaking against doublesided tape. Checking to see if there was better ways.

is it ok to use double sided tape to stick the two pieces of mount together before cutting if it is a double mount?

I put lines around the mounts i do at times usually done with a .5 of spce. It is done using the corner tool and a needle then lining the ruler up to the holes and runnign the pen along it.

Is there a quicker way?

Not sure you will achieve more than a simple spreadsheet program would - You talk about factory framers having this software by their machines - much of what they already do is very automated + they would almost certainly have a CMC.
