Hello hive mind.
If a customer asks for frames that are simple to open the back of to switch prints on a semi-regular basis, what fixings would you use for the back of the frame? Ready-made ones often have tabs you can slide into a groove or whatever for easy access, but how about on custom sized ...

Hello all.

Ideally looking for boxes that would accommodate a 36"×24" frame. Been searching online but having real difficulty finding any boxes at the right sort of size that aren't also far too deep to put a ...

Always something new isnt there?
I've got a customer wanting to frame some dvd cases, some are still sealed and others are signed. They're quite valuable and the customer would like them to remain as intact as possible, with the cases standing proud of the backing rather than flush. I was thinking ...

Looking for recommendations for suppliers for 2mm anti-UV acrylic.
Would be looking to order cut to size (36"x24", 24"x18", etc) and probably 100 at a time.
Many thanks. TopCat

Hello all and merry Christmas.
I want to buy a new compressor and don't really know where to start. Ideally I'd like an 100L, oil free and quiet-ish piece of kit. Any advice on ones to buy or avoud, what sort of money I should be looking at, etc. In the past I've had a couple of fairly cheap smaller ...

I went for a Wizard 9000 in the end. I'd call it well worth the investment and I think I'm still only really getting to grips with it. Lots still to learn but for accuracy and ease of doing odd shapes etc it's excellent. Not to mention time saving. Good luck!

Thanks

My compressor died this morning. Funky smells from a burnt out motor. It was a cheap, oil free, chinese made one from ebay for about £150 a couple of years ago. Only ever intended as a stop-gap after my last old Bambi died. Looking for recommendations for a reliable, oil free compressor. Ideally 50L ...

Graham - did you opt for the Gunnar in because it can cut the thicker boards?
Another reason I’m considering a CMC is to save my hands from cutting the mounts. I’m 32 and have been working as a framer for 16 years, but I also have a couple of health issues. Although it ...
