Re: What's the best for heating?
We have the same problem as Mark (Not your average framer). Our house, the oldest part, was built around 1780. No damp proof course, have to use lime mortar and other breathable, traditional materials. The problem is, the previous owners didn't follow the rules and we have a tedious, in some cases n...

He doesn't have a glue what we are on about.
He needs to understand the Tite Bond there is among the forum members and that the humour is double sided.

As of next week, I will have a new kitchen gadget, but only for two weeks. My son is visiting, he is a chef in Paris. Cooks wonderful food, but leaves one hell of a mess for us to clean up. Just goes to show, nothing in life is free.

You can get them on fleabay for £6'ish with five refills. I bought on a couple of months ago. Great for cleaning small metal areas. Not tried it on mount card.

Re: Recapturing an earlier passion
Mauviel copper pans and very good knives are my current passion. We also have a very old solid fuel Aga which we love to bits. It's wonderful to cook with and warm your bottom on (not at the same time). It's like an old friend.
