Re: Web Cam for Zoom based design consulations

Many thanks for your thoughts, gents. You're right, there is certainly need for prudence when future income is unpredictable. Just trying to adapt - Online consultations (including visualisation) are most likely to become more popular, so perhaps the expenditure is a wise investment in the businesse...

Web Cam for Zoom based design consulations

Hello All, I'm sure that quite a few of us are looking at Zoom based remote/contactless Frame design consultations with customers - has anyone gotten far with it yet and maybe willing to share their technical guru experience or tips? I've had some trials with WhatsApp/facetime video but it has limit...

Re: MORSO EH and KEENCUt 4000 FOR SALE

Sorry probably wasn't clear enough, the Keencut is not new! The dismantled parts are a maximum length of 2200mm by approx 250mm section. I managed to get it my estate car when I picked it up. It's fairly bulky/heavy but I can help with it this end - you'd need a helping hand at the other. Will post ...

MORSO EH and KEENCUt 4000 FOR SALE

Hello, I bought these 2 pieces of equipment May 2017 (both from the forum). The Morso has hardly been used in the past year, just turned on and warmed up each week and a few cuts made to keep the system in shape. The Keencut has not been used at all. Morso EH fully automated cutter £3,000 Had full s...

Morso EH and Keencut 4000 for sale

Hi All, I bought these 2 pieces of equipment last May (both from the forum). It's taken me a lot longer than planned to get my business set up (nearly there now!) and in the meantime I've bought a whole workshop full of equipment in a closing down deal. So, these are now surplus to requirements. The...

Re: Mounting large poster

Excellent, thanks so much for taking the time to explain it so well. I was starting to scratch my head a bit! I have some 17mm in stock which I reckon I can distress and paint to like v.similar to the moulding. might be a bit tight but will hopefully get away with it. As for costs I have priced it a...

Mounting large poster

Hello all, I have a large poster to frame 900x1400 and have advised my customer we should go for 3mm plexi. The poster is a picture of a seaview out of a window, so she wantsthe finished article to look like a window frame with the edge of the moulding cropped upto the image without a mountboard. I'...

Re: Linen Backed Art Deco Print

Thanks alot chaps. Prospero - Great advice on the sub-frame strengthening and not stretching/using tension on it. I had planned on using T and L brackets at corner and brace points but a flat foam core sheet will do it more evenly I guess and probably easier too. Just so I'm clear - what thickness w...

Linen Backed Art Deco Print

Hello all, I have a new customer who has brought in an oversize linen backed 1930’s poster (2m x1.3m). I have looked up previous threads here and also on the grumble but just want to confirm I am taking the right approach. The proposal is to custom make a 32mm profile stretcher frame with 3 cross br...
