Re: Morso Blade sharpening
I go along with Gesso&Bole has said, and what to look out for, plus I push the head of the Morso back as far as it goes, then holding a bit of paper, I pull this up the blades (very carefully
) if it doesn't get cut very easy, then it's time to get the blades sharpened

Re: Cassese CS79 Underpinner - Can't remove distributor block
Have you looked underneath, is the hammer still in the block, if so, is it still attached by the screw and locknut at the bottom, if there is a jammed pin in the block, then it could be jammed with the hammer
Just a thought

Re: Decorative Mount Tuition
Great thread so far. Interesting thought from Prospero about the agate burnisher, Plebs like me were taught to burish the edges of the bevels using the back of your finger nail, but I now use a small bone folder, which is a bit cheaper that buying the agate burnisher. I just use the back of a teaspo...

Re: Restoring hardened Liberon cream
Withe gilt creams in jars, I have used white spirit, 1st I used a screwdriver to break up the harden cream , then add a bit of the white spirit at a time and mix into the bits of the harden cream, you can get it down to a fine paste, I did this to 3 or 4 jars about 2 years ago, they are still usable...

Re: Restoring hardened Liberon cream
Have you tried heating it up with a heat gun / hairdryer,
There is a kit (in the USA) where there is a plug in heater, a bit like a soldering iron, where you melt the wax into the holes/scratches, I have heated uo a teaspoon with a heatgun and melted some of the creams with it, seems to work

You can see if the moulding is warped, by placing each lenght of moulding on the right hand arm of the Morso and see if it rocks, if it does, then it's warped
