Re: Corel Draw

PLT is the common file format for the Valiani range and I believe most CMC's.
I use CD x4 at the moment and have found no problems exporting to Valiani software.

DXF is another. However, I believe it is not 'standardised', so there may be version errors.

Re: Meet Learn Celebrate

I was there Sunday and Monday. For the FATG and the exhibitors this was not a cheap exercise and I was very disappointed with the number of No Shows (Once Again) . It will be interesting to see/hear what the number of actual visitors was on the Trade Floor (not counting the awards dinner people), as...

Re: Free Chevrons offered

I used to give my mount 'fall outs' to local charities and 3 local schools. 1000's of them a month!!!!!! Until that is: A local Health & Safety Inspector got involved. I can no longer do that as they have a bevel cut on the outside. Pupils or whoever were getting paper cuts. However, if I change...

Re: Researching CMCs

Hi Alan I purchased my first CMC in 2005 and put the trusty Keencut Gold in storage - Just in case. I am now on my third CMC and the Keencut stayed in storage. In fact, I sold it just two months ago. Re the wastage. I speak with my Valiani hat on now... The clamps on the Valiani range of CMC - non V...

Re: Focus On Imaging

OK.

From your previous post, it sounded as though you are buying Standard board because it is 'cheap' and using it for customers work, knowing that it is non archival and that the core discolours.

Re: Focus On Imaging

When it comes to camera clubs and mountboard I buy at trade from Seawhite of Brighton, it's not archival and the core discolours after a while but it's cheap. Being a member of a camera club I supply this board as 500x400 in white/black or grey. Most prints are only used for one season, so the disc...

Re: Computerised Mount cutter

There are a number of ways of doing this.

1. With CMC using a Pen Tool/Mat Stylus to write directly onto the Mount.
2.. Without CMC. Print onto decent quality card. Cut a letterbox underneath the main aperture.

Stephen. Yes it is the rotational angle that I set.

In the above example it was about 30 degrees.
