Re: Web Cam for Zoom based design consulations

Hi Dean, While I haven’t tried this myself, I have read reports from photographers who have been using online selling for years. They encounter issues where customers are looking at finished images online on their home PC, laptop, tablet, phone etc. The vast majority of these are not calibrated so w...

Re: Ideas for funerals

People are always passing away. It’s an unfortunate fact of life. Given that, and the number of members, it is statistically likely that there is always someone who has lost someone. I have lost ex colleagues during this pandemic. That said, everyone deals with death differently. Those that record t...

Hi
I haven’t any personal experience of cutting laminate glass but believe that Wessex can cut awkward shapes to order. Hope that helps :P

Re: Any Virgin Broadband users out there?

I can’t say for certain that they don’t allow others to use their lines, but I do know that they do run their broadband along a different cable / line than say BT etc as where I live I cannot get onto the Virgin network as they don’t have any cables laid around here. When they set up at my daughters...

Hi TC

A nice frame. I am certain I read a little back an article where Wessex had cut glass to an odd shape. Might be worth looking into.

Re: Moving Morso F in saloon car

Hi I agree with Peter. I purchased a used Morso and transported it a large estate car. Getting it in was a pig but once in it was ok. I found getting it out far harder. I had put it in top first, having to get it out bottom first. I felt it may have been easier to get out top first. But then I am kn...

Re: Moulding search

Chicmouldings do some mouldings that might be useable. They seem to be aimed more at furniture and for use on larger items but I haven’t looked at all their stock. Can be found at www.chicmouldings.com

Re: Moving the group to a social media site?

One of the many problems with Facebook is it doesn’t have sub groups. You easily miss posts due to the way it is set up. I can refresh Facebook on my tablet, smartphone, desktop and laptop and be faced with four different views. Even scrolling through each one some posts are not shown at all on some...

My thanks to everyone for their suggestions and the very useful photos. The self made variety now has my vote, not only for cost but for customisation. I will be spending the next couple of days measuring and planning and then setting in motion.

Re: Workbench suggestions

Thanks for info and photos Steve. The ready made option has some appeal due to perceived ease but I can certainly now see the greater options by making my own and designing to my own requirements from scratch :Slap:

Workbench suggestions

Hi,
I am looking to source a new workbench and see there are a fair few options available. I was looking for anyone’s suggestions based on the vast experience there is to be had on this great forum.

Any suggestions most welcome :D
