Hi all, I know this has been discussed before - but looking for any update info available. I have been asked to frame three large laminated maps (900 x 1500mm), 'simple' black frame, no glass. Before I say no, has anyone got any suggestions that may help me do this. I was thinking to telling them to...

Re: Help again

Thanks for taking the time to reply. What I had decided was reasonably simple for most and one 'jawdropper', and glad that most seem in agreement with that. Regarding discount - been there and done that. I have learnt the hard way that untill the work is in my hand it means nothing. I even allowed o...

Help again

Hi again, Told you I had two questions. A new potential customer is setting up a photographic studio and wants some of his work framed for display and with luck this should lead to further work for me. I haven't seen the photos yet, but from what I understand they will mainly be weddings, portraits,...

Actually I have 2 questions, but as they are very different will make two entries. So - I have been asked to frame a 1916 newspaper and i...

Framers in Vancouver Island?

Hi all We are heading to Vancouver Island, British Columbia (home exchange) next week and hope to visit some of the local framers. Are any of the framers there known to Forum members? We enjoy visiting other framers and seeing how they are doing. Usually it’s about the same as us, very reassuring. M...

Re: Notice board?

Thank you to all – I don’t have to start this project until mid September and am going to all. I had a look at the fibreboard and was having misgivings. I was going to look online to see if there was anything suitable. Will follow up on your leads. How do you all feel about foamcore with cork glued ...

Hello and I need help!

Hello everyone, I have been following the topics here for a little while now, but this is my first writing anything. I am fairly new to framing ( last September), based in Co. Cavan and so far so good. My biggest problem seems to be one that a lot of people have - just how much to charge, but I will...
