The end of Cassesse
I've just found out via Framers Only that Cassesse has closed down. Apparently the French Government have been keeping them afloat for a while but have had enough. That's a sad end to the company that brought us the underpinner

Tape not holding a piece of artwork in place
Hi all. I've got an artist who paints on very heavy, expensive paper. I'm having trouble getting any tape to hold the artwork onto the mountboard. I'm using T-hinges fastened to a backboard using PH70 hinging tape. They were hanging in an unheated gallery space last year and she took them home over ...

Re: Apperture sizing of Mount
You could just place the image in the middle of the frame and then measure all four sides to calculate the size of the mount that you would need.

Re: Advice on Mount Cutters
Let me know if you want to replace the mountcutter as I've got a Rapier that I no longer need as I swapped to a CMC a couple of years ago. Happy to deal on it.

Re: Table covers??
My glass cutting bench has carpet tiles on it. The rest of my benches have a soft durable grey padded material on them that my wife picked up in our local department store. My mother-in-law used to use the same stuff to protect her glass dining table. It's great as it doesn't give off any fluff but ...

Hi Rob
I'd be interested in 1 x 12mm & 1 x 15mm. How much for postage?

Re: Poor cuts
Theres 28mm on the ones cutting well. By the sounds of things I need to invest in another couple of pairs.
Re: Poor cuts
I get them done at Wessex in Oldham and have been fine in the past, although I haven't been too sure about some of the sharpening before Xmas.
Not sure how old they are as I bought them used, but there's still 2cm on them.
Will they re-sharpen if I send them off again?

Poor cuts
I recently put some newly sharpened blades on my Morso and, although they cut cleanly, some mouldings when joined left a large gap on the inner edge of the frame when joining, so large that I couldn't adjust the fences far enough. I altered the left hand fence on the Morso until I got a clean join b...

Douwe Egberts Gold for me. Yes it's instant, but a step up from other instants Oh, and chocolate in the fridge.
I have a Tassimo machine at home with the pods and have thought about one for the workshop, but it would probably lead to me drinking even more coffee!

Thanks Richard. I've gone ahead and bought an expensive desktop Canon that hopefully can print the odd small piece but not really wanting to go down the full print route.

Photo printing
My not so old, but out of warranty, desktop printer has died. So I'm looking at new options. I do occasionally get asked if I print photos, but knowing nothing about the print world, have always said no. However, I'm trying to grow the business and have noticed that A3 all in one printers that provi...
