Morso Blade changing tool
Does anyone have a spare Morso blade changing tool? I'm looking to purchase one.
Perhaps someone knows what size socket wrench I need? I have measure the nut head, it looks to be 17mm. Perhaps I need an 18mm socket wrench?
Any pointers would be much appreciated.
Thank you

Underpinning issue
Hi, I'm having an issue with my underpinner, and I wonder if anyone might be able to explain what might be going on. The front of the mouldings look great but at the back, there is a gap in the top corner. My main concern, is that aesthetically on the outside edge of the join, there is a little gap ...

Re: Wanted - Handheld Pneumatic V Wedge Nailer
Thanks guys,
Part of my issue is the amount of space I have. I might have to go with an Alfamacchine. U300 maybe.

Hi,
For joining mouldings. Like an underpinner but from above with a corner clamp.
Would you not recommend doing this?
Thanks

Wanted - Handheld Pneumatic V Wedge Nailer
I'm currently looking at the Omer VN11.15
If anyone is looking to sell one or something similar, please let me know. If anyone has any suggestions for any other brands, that would be great to know also. I'm finding it difficult to find these online.
Thank you

Re: Hanging on difficult walls
Hi Everyone,
Thanks so much for all your support on this, hadn't realised there were more posts.
In the end I consulted a professional art installer and made the referral.

Concerned this wouldn't work i used a lot but the piece still came off the wall after 2 weeks. Does anyone have any experience hanging on to a mirror/able to s...

Re: Time needed between Shellac coats
Awesome, great help thank you. I have a Da Vinci mop for applying my shellac which I do not use for anything else. I have included a picture of it for anyone else new to this process. (keep it clean and don't use it for anything else other than applying shellac was advice given to me by someone in t...

Time needed between Shellac coats
Hi,
I'm applying my final coats Special Pale French Polish (Clear Shellac) to a frame.
How many hours would you suggest is necessary in between coats to ensure the first coat is not reactivated/fully dry?
Thank you
Jonbon

Hi Dermot,
That’s really helpful, thanks.
Have you, or has anyone else had any experience with powdered resin metals for finishing frames?
Thanks

Hand Finishing Bronze Patina
Hi everyone, Has anyone had any experience finishing a frame in bronze? I am trying to achieve a smooth bronze finish on a bare wood moulding. So far I have tried guilding with metal leaf and using an antique bronzing liquid. It's fairly effective, but if you use it too much it goes blue very easily...

Re: Mount Boarder Sag/Gap
Hi Chaps, Thanks so much for this advice and the warm welcome. Really helpful and very thorough. The story of the bathroom pics fad was also quite amusing. My brother's place is very humid. He runs a dehumidifier most days and has the best part of the amazon in his living room in the form of potted ...

Mount Boarder Sag/Gap
Hi, I am relatively new to framing and have incurred an issue with a large frame that I made. Fortunately it is only for my brother so it isn't a 'real' client and I am able to solve the issue with no pressure. The frame is about 1000mm x 700mm and it's been on his wall for about two months now, but...
