Re: A+P+F expo
Thank you so much for the feedback, that’s all really interesting and very helpful. I didn’t realise it was such a new event. I’ll definitely look at going to the 2024 expo if it’s going ahead. The pre exhibition evening event sounded great! What a nice idea to put on a networking opportunity the ni...

A+P+F expo
How did the expo in Stratford-upon-Avon go today?
Interested to know how big the event was compared to previous years?
Wondered what the general consensus was?

Which underpinner?
I’ve decided to invest in a new foot operated underpinner. I was going to buy an alphamachine U200 but Wessex have recommended the A+ automation (manual operation) Gary White of WP recons it’s made by the same people that used to make Alfamachine... Any thoughts? Advice? First hand experience?? Much...

Re: Premises size
I work from home and my work shop is the garden shed/summer house which is about 36 sq feet. The moulding lengths have to stick out the window when I’m chopping. I’ve got a morso, underpinner and Excalibur (fixed to the wall). I store all my glass in there too and have a small amount of shelving and...

Alfamachine U200 under pinner
Hello! I wondered whether any one had any experience with an alfamachine foot operated underpinner. I currently own a CS one which was second hand, but I’m not that happy with it.. it’s a bit flimsy.. works fine most of the time but is useless with hard wood. I’ve been considering changing it... Any...

Re: What’s going on here?
Hi, I’ve just done something very similar for a customer. I used a flat slip with a bevel from lion then hand painted because the customer wanted an off white. The inside slip almost looks like a small bull nose moulding? You then basically stack them all together and I fixed/secured them using canv...

Re: Framing baby shoes
Thanks Mark, I’ll have a look at moreplan. The tags were really useful when framing rugby shirts a few weeks ago and I actually could have done with longer ones then but lion only do a couple of lengths. You sound like the sort of skilled craftsman I aspire to... I’d love to have a little pillar dri...

Re: Framing baby shoes
Brilliant,
I completely agree with not wanting to use adhesives. Really interesting to hear you use tags. I might try and get some longer ones for my tag gen. I’ve already fished out my minute drill bit.
Thank you for the feed back. It’s very reassuring.

Re: Framing baby shoes
Thank you Steve, I’ve had a good look at the shoes but they are toddler shoes rather than tiny baby shoes so the soles are pretty substantial and I cant find anywhere obvious to take a thread through like you suggested (which was a top idea!) I’m considering drilling tiny holes with a teeny tiny dri...

Framing baby shoes
Hello everyone, I’m new to the forum (although have regularly scanned for useful tips) You’re such a helpful bunch that I’ve signed up and now I have my first question! I’m framing 4 pairs of baby shoes and wandered how most of you would attach them to the mount board behind? I’ve only ever framed s...
