Re: Removing grease stains from mountboard

Al right, Thanks for letting me know about the potential issues with using WD-40 on a mountboard. I had no idea it could affect the conservation and acid-free properties of the board. That's definitely good to keep in mind for future reference.

Re: Removing grease stains from mountboard

Regarding the method you mentioned using an iron, brown paper, and lime juice, I'm not familiar with that specific technique. However, I can offer some general advice and a great informative content for removing oil and grease stains . One common method is to use a dish soap solution. Mix a small am...

Re: VEHICLES

Based on your budget of £11.5/12K, you might consider looking at small vans like the Citroen Berlingo or similar models. These types of vehicles can offer a good balance of space and maneuverability, which could be ideal for your needs. As you mentioned that some of your work is 85cm in size, so it'...

Re: Stiffening up the fence on my exising table saw.

Anyway, I have run Moulding heads in radial arms and tablesaws for about 30 yrs now, and if you ain't at least a little scared , your crazy. Just the sound of it ramping up to speed is so unlike a normal blade, you had better pay attn. There is a such a thing as too much safety, it's when you are so...

Re: Stiffening up the fence on my exising table saw.

having a bit of bad luck trying to rip some 45-degree edges on some QS white oak. I’m trying to make 44-inch tall posts that have all QS on the outside. I’ve spent a good deal of time selecting the right ones. My idea is to rip 45-degree edges perhaps spline them together and glue them up. I’m rippi...

Dust Extractor

Hi all! I'm a novice woodworker and I've recently acquired a lot of power tools. My one issue is the sawdust. I know there are dust extractors but it is confusing how many different brands and prices are available. I have a variety of corded and battery-powered machines, the majority of which are De...

Re: Tax on business startup

I am thinking of buying an existing business from someone. I will be the new leaseholder. It is a fast food retail outlet. The lease is for 10 years and the rent is £160 per week. I believe the rent has to be paid to the landlord for the term of the lease. The current leaseholder is trading as a so...

Re: For Sale: Canon Image PROGRAF Pro-2100 24” Wide Format Printer

I am already using this Canon Image PROGRAF Wide Format Printer. I just
wanna tell you guys, I have this printer I can't use until there is some photo black ink that I can order. The printer runs great though I am glad I bought it. Just wish all the inks were available so I can use it more.

Just can't get the staff these days! Or was it that they ran out of blue tack? :giggle: :giggle: :giggle: Obviously not such high class bodgers as around here. Lots of stuff get secured to mounts with blue tack around these parts. Blue tack is very popular with some of the local artists Some of the...

Re: HGP220 Hot Press Drytac Vacuum Laminating Mounting Press

I have used this model before, these highly adaptable machines are ideal when the job size varies or when many different types of finishing jobs are required. Their design requires no special set up for different jobs, making them the tool of choice when different sizes or different type of finishin...
