Not to muscle in, but if those blades have gone I have an ex-framer friend who has three sets of Morso blades to sell, in pretty good nick.

I think I'll have a play around, these aren't Archive quality figures so I'm not worried about permanent fixing.

So to follow up, what type of adhesive would you consider for mounting small plastic figures to mountboard. Think Lego figures (but they're not), the contract area for bonding is extremely small, like 1mm.

A possibly stupid question here; is there any reason *not* to use superglue (e.g. https://www.diy.com/departments/loctite ... 175_BQ.prd) for securing small lightweight plastic objects within a small box frame?

The one I learned on was just covered in brown kraft paper, but the one I inherited was covered with short-pile carpet, which I've since replaced with something similar from a carpet shop up the road who sell off their end of roll stock cheap. I have to vacuum it every day but seems to do the job.

Phew, that's a relief as that's how I do it! Hadn't heard it referred to as a 'bookmount'.

I was kind of using both/either depending on materials/quality but will defo stick to using a proper undermount, and thanks for the tips on keeping the associated costs down too. @prospero - I'm not sure if the 'book' mount this is a technique I already know by another name ...

Another question on which I'd appreciate the hive mind position.

When window mounting a piece, one colleague always mounts the artwork to mountboard, another mounts the artwork to barrier board (e.g. https://www.wessexpictures.com/barrier_board.html)

Is one method preferable to the other?
