Re: Flecks in Mount Board

Having the same problem with Daler Ice white, doesn't sound like it will help me by changing brands.

Always had the odd bit but it's gotten worse just resonantly.

Re: Ungluing glued paintings

That's a job for a conservation restorer who maybe able to reverse it without damage.
I wouldn't want to take the risk of damaging it.

Re: Anyone with a cmc and pen tool willing to cut a mount?

Hi Tom,
Thank you for your help, I have used wessex fine art in the past for a large double mount.
It was cut 4mm out square and had many marks on it. :head:

Wasn't really impressed.

Re: Sealing hand painted frames

Just ordered a bottle of Polyvine dead flat varnish to give it a try :D I would normally wax.

Framerpicture do you mind me asking what spray equipment you use? I would prefer to spray it on.

Thank you all

Thank you Steve, shame your not closer.

I could imagine its pretty tricky to package up and protect a single mount that size.

Re: Removable glass spacers

Why don't you just mitre wooden spacers to fit and use double side tape on them?
You leave the cover for your customer to remove once there done?

Re: Sports Shirts etc

yep, I make the hole with a t-pin first (Only through the board not the shirt)

The idea with ball point needle is you don't rip straight through threads.

Re: Sports Shirts etc

Every shirt gets stitched into the backing mount with 100% cotton (ball point needle) sleeves get pulled to where they want to be and stitched.

I wouldn't go anywhere near a shirt with tape, sorry.

Re: big poster big problem

I found out the hard way the large sheets of 10mm foam board are not flat and wont stay flat. I used two 5mm's stuck opposite ways and that worked (advice taken from here) :D .
