how successful are you at joining these?
I try 10 mm wedges and the black surface face cracks, 7 mm and the face is too loose.
I always use glue.
Do you have any tips for good solid joints with these mouldings?
Also what type of glue do you use normally for reliable joints?

I've got an old orange Proturner underpinner, about 20 years old, still working well. I've always used Cassese uni wedges (loose strips which go into a metal chute) but I've only got 7 and 10 mm chutes. I want to use 12 and 15 mm wedges but do not have the chutes. I use a black Edding pen.......from Lion..... it's a water based ink so doesn't leave the purple stain on the moulding. It's easy to wipe off with a paper towel or even a bit of spit on your finger. I've been given this batik wotsit to stretch but the problem is that the image goes more or less to the edge with only about an inch or so spare material around it all. The customer wants the full image showing and the stapling round the back but obviously there is not enough material to pull round ...

Sounds to me Alistair like you need to take your legs to the repair man !
Get them oiled up and you'll find you can do at least five.
