Re: Furniture required - where did you find yours?

Also have a plan chest via local paper for £80 which is handy for hiding untidy tools etc and also for storing art work before framed

Re: Furniture required - where did you find yours?

Slatwall with sheets of mdf in between are good and you can adjust the section sizes. Sheets of mdf cost quite a bit from B&Q but worked out cheaper than the premade racks. All nice and solid and supportive. Mine is topped with old lab bench top which was being binned by a local college. Floatex...

Re: Morso F Measuring Arm?

PS the only thing I wonder is the accuracy down to the last mm as the scale is divided into what looks like 2.5mm breaks....should this be an issue?

thanks

Re: Morso F Measuring Arm?

Thanks everyone, it is a relief to know there are not parts missing as they are not cheap! I was confused as the one I had previously used had a bit that you set to the width of the moulding and the photo in the Lion catalogue also looked like this hence the confusion! I can now have a go at choppin...

Morso F Measuring Arm?

Hi, I have finally got around to setting up my second hand Morso F. I checked the copy of the (Lion) invoice that they had for it when they purchased it and it states "1500mm engraved metric scale" but there are no measurements (engraved or otherwise) on the top or side of the sliding scal...

Safe removal of scalpel blades?

Dear all How do you safely remove scalpel blades? I bought a gadget from Lion (page 92 code 225) but to be honest I could not work out how to use it. Tonight I had a very near miss when I carefully started to remove the blade using pliers and it snapped and flung up (I still shudder to think about i...

Transport of frames?

Hi,

How do you all transport finished frames?

I see that Lion do "Frame Transit Boxes" (page 125 items 6233/6234/6235). Are these any good? They look fairly useful or do some of you hav a DIY version of your own?

Thanks

Re: Keencut Ultimat Gold - vertical blade catching

Thanks for that Jonny, good to meet you too I replaced the blades (and also found out the other one was getting lose which was not exactly helping it move smoothly!!) but it still found it hard work. I could try other blades but, at the same time, I do feel like the thicker boards are is bit "t...

Re: Use of glue/T Hinges for magazine?

It cost £3 and they have other issues the same. I don't think it matters that it is not reversible.
Having said that, I am happier doing T hinges as I have not used spray adhesive before and if I make an error applying or using it I don't get a second chance!!

Keencut Ultimat Gold - vertical blade catching

Hi Another query. I have a Keencut Ultimat Gold. When I am squaring up the board (particularly the Art Bak and the 1500 barrier board) using the vertical blade it is not quite cutting to the bottom edge of the board and/or getting caught at the very bottom edge making it hard to return the blade. (W...

Use of glue/T Hinges for magazine?

Hi, Quick query I am framing a magazine front + part page of an article in a multi aperture mount (less said about failed attempts at that one the better but third time lucky I managed to cut the bevels the correct way and remembered to replace the slipsheet - doh!). Anyway, the customer has several...

Re: ** ATG double sided Tape Gun - instructions please**

thanks for that...

have got it loaded but it does not strike me as a very good gun but then I have had trouble using the other type too so I guess it is probably a case as with all things of developing the knack of using it
