As Mitreman points out a flat bed press e.g. Ademco would do the job "in bites". Makes you wonder why we all sold our Ademcos for a few hundred quid and invested (?) thousands in those new fangled hot glass vacuum presses!

If you invest in Pre-View visualisation software the you can see the finished article and more importantly so can the customer. We use it on nearly every sale and customers always walk away happy. It gives a good opportunity to sell up to a larger mount, bigger moulding, double mount vs. single and ...

2nd hand Morso
If you are buying a Morso 2nd hand check it has genuine Morso blades. They will be stamped with the makers name and the month and year of manufacture e.g. 06/07 (both should match) Check there is some "meat" left on the blades as each sharpening takes a little away each time. A new set of ...

Valiani support from Simons
Just been in contact with Joe at Simons regarding a small problem with our CMC (see my other post). He could not have been more helpful and made telephone calls to Italy then got back to us promptly with a solution.
We are impressed so far!

We too started off in a garage but a double which gives that bit more room. I would strongly recommend you do not keep mount board in the garage as there is a great variaton in temperature and humidity throughout the year. If you can find the space to store it indoors then that will be best. We acqu...

Apertures not cuuting correctly on Valiani mat pro 120
Hi All We are having a problem with our Valiani Mat Pro 120. When cutting a mount with an outside cut or cutting a mount without an outside cut the aperture does not drop out i.e. there is an under cut. However if we cut a mount with an outside cut then the aperture undercuts but the outside cut is ...

First of all we do a practice on a scrap piece of mount board to get the aperture size just right as we have found some sets of cards to be slightly different sizes to others. Having tried the pre cut mounts we find this much more satisfactory. Customer...
