Completely concur with Graysalchemy this is a superb machine and a perfect opportunity to upgrade from the manual pedal operated underpinners.

Re: Compressor Advice
I believe there is a regulation at least in the UK (so possibly in Europe) that requires air tanks over 25 litres be annually inspected. Probably why Bambi and others produce a pump with 24l tanks.

Excalibur glass cutting wheel holder
I've noticed the glass cutting wheel holder is becoming quite grooved where the carrier contacts the edge of the glass, is this normal?

If you can find a second hand Cassese CS199MXL go for it, never had any problems with mine. I expect the newer Cart models are just as good.

A couple of years ago Lion stopped selling anything to do with Cassese hence you can't get those particular wedges from them.GeoSpectrum wrote: I was abit surprised to find that Lion don't have the pink 7mm soft wood.

Keeping shop door closed in a strong breeze?
We have an unusually large door that tends to blow open in a north easterly. No problem this time of year but a pain in January. Anyone recommend any type of door closer or similar?

Glass to top a board game
I have a 'snakes and ladders' cross-stitch (500 x 5090mm) in for stretching and framing that customer intends to use as a board game with counters. Question is will standard 2mm float glass be strong enough as a top, should I go for 3mm and / or toughened glass, they are reluctant to go down the acr...

Re: Blade sharpening.
Wessex and Centrado offer a sharpening service and if you have a van delivery there is no carriage cost. Mainline actually have a Morso built sharpener so for my money, even though you have to pay carriage, this is the one to go for.

Where the hardened edge joins the main body of the blade you'll see a dark line. If this is gapping even a tiny amount you'll get the symptoms Steve describes.

Re: new blades
With my second set I had the same symptoms as FFrames describes. Turns out the hardened edge was pulling away. Framers Corner replaced them once I'd returned the dodgy set but replacements had the same problem! So second set returned for a refund and a set genuine Morso blades purchased in their pla...

Gunnar F1 Hybrid.
It's possible to 'clean' the groove with a scalpel blade but that's a bit of pain.
