Re: Photographing Finished Frames
Many thanks for all the tips. Glass out eh? Now why didn't I think of that! I'll probably go for the Photoshop option as well, on the ones i've already taken.
Thanks very much one and all.

In the medals framed at the top of this thread what do you use for the mount? Is it mountboard covered with blue cloth or a special textured one?

On-Line Sales

I am setting up a website to promote my framing business and am considering including a product line wit...

Re: Large Oil Paintings
I've been thinking about stacked mouldings, are there any specific ones which work well together or is it a matter of tial and error? (not too much error I hope!). I am oly holding a small stock so if you have the codes of good combinations that would be handy so I can order some samples.
thanks

Hi All, I completed my first frames today :) and although I am only framing my own items at present (part of the learning curve) I am keen to understand how much I would charge a paying customer so any guidance would be very much appreciated. Hi All,
I'm looking for a Keencut workbench (I think it is called the Big Bench in Lions Catalogue) ideally it would be 6ft x4ft with the extensions to take an Ultimat. Can anyone help?

Whats in a name?
Hi All, I am in the process of deciding a trading name for my framing business and was wondering how others went about choosing theirs? Is it a good idea, for instance, to use your own name or something related to framing. The name will also form the company domain name. It will be a garage set-up, ...

Re: Man with a Van ?
I have seen magnetic advertising boards for vehicles; about the size of a car door (I guess the come in various sizes). They are like large fridge magnets. A couple of those on each side of the car and something suitable on the back might do the trick for minimal outlay. A quick Google found these. ...
