Re: Trinity Framing Website

I like it, simple is the way to go :P There are no photos on the frame visualisation page, so hard for people to visualise what you mean by frame visualisation ;) I wouldn't be too worried about offering people a link to other sites. It can be done so that sites open in a new window, which leaves th...

Time for a change methinks.

Re: Inmes wedges - free to a good home

I had them for a Cassesse that I inherited but there is some debate about whether they are okay to use.
Search on the forum for a thread about it.

Inmes wedges - free to a good home

I'm having a clear out and found a few boxes of inmes wedges that I can't use any more.
Yellow 7mm - 7.5 cartridges.
Red 5mm - 14 cartridges.
Not much but might help someone.
They are going in the bin if no-one wants them.

Re: Foamcore Spacers on large prints

What about a wooden spacer with a white finish on it, or even a small narrow moulding.
I wouldn't bother with silicone as there can be problems with fumes given off. Don't think you'll need anything if the spacer is robust.

Re: Help with hole in compressor tube

Why not take the old hose into the place you were the other day and get them to supply you with the same set up, simple :Slap: Are you not allowed to quote? :P I took it all in with me, and the guy said do you want it with fittings or will you just use your own. I said I assumed it would come with ...

Re: What if your website packed up today ?

As others have said I would ask him where your site is and what contingency plans are in place. I do web design as well as framing and it is unusual for someone to run their own server, as there are far better solutions available for less cost and far less hassle. I have server space from Amazon whi...

Re: Help with hole in compressor tube

I was in a place today asking for a new hose, and they asked if I wanted it with fittings. I said I assume it comes with the end piece but apparently it is just the hose and the fittings are separate. Could I then just cut off the ends with the damage and fit new end pieces (there is still plenty of...

Help with hole in compressor tube

My compressor tube developed two leaks, one the day after the other :o
I've tried wrapping a bandage round it, using framing tape, using electrical tape etc. but the air pressure is obviously too strong for my repairs. Anyone got any good ideas?

Tea staining

I'm replacing the mount in a frame due to severe foxing, but the customer wants an authentic antique look ( :? )
He asked if I could stain the mountboard with a tea bag to gain the desired effect.
Should I give it a go or does anyone have any brighter ideas?

Re: Ultimat multi angle window cutting gauge-free to good ho

Hi fusion framer,
I'd love to have these if they're still available.
I was actually thinking I should probably start experimenting with my Keencut Ultimat Gold.
Cheers

Re: Problem joining plastic mouldings...rocking and gaps.

I generally don't use plastic mouldings as I found that there can be a small gap when I'm done. Sometimes though a customer will bring one in that the only match is plastic. I find the best results from glueing corners together with bison? glue and holding them together for around 20 seconds, then p...

We had guests staying with us from Brooklyn, NY, and as I brought them back from the airport a customer turned up with a photograph of Brooklyn bridge. It's the little things that make you laugh.

Pneumatic stapler help

I've got a BEA pneumatic stapler (for my football strips and tapestries  ) and the firing pin thing isn't returning correctly. I took the top bit apart and a selection of solid pink blobs fell out. I take it this is the stuff that makes it return, but looks as though it has become brittle with...

Re: 'Budget' moulding rack

Interesting watching this thread as my mouldings are currently piled on an old pool table. I'm going to be getting some kind of racking / shelving system soon so great to see what others have done. Is there no issue with stacking wood vertically? As a boy I worked in Wickes building supplies and for...
