Re: Fletcher-Terry 3100 vs Keencut Excalibur 5000
In answer to YPF's question: From an engineers point of view the Fletcher 3100 delivers a much greater cut consistency / smoother cutting head movement / greater accuracy and is manufactured from higher grade materials than the Keencut. Once a Fletcher is installed it requires no further adjustments...

Re: Alfa machine minigraf 4 air leak
Paul If the regulator is the issue then yes it is more cost effective to replace the complete unit as that brand of regulator is prone to failure and the plastic casing will develop cracks over time. If you look closely at the side of your regulators beige base there are pointers moulded into the pl...

Re: Alfa machine minigraf 4 air leak
Hi Paul That is the regulator for the wedge feed cylinder, Minigraf remove the caps once they have set them to the correct pressure to stop people messing with them (there should be a dial on the other side showing what it is set to) If you are sure the regulator is the cause of the leak then i stoc...

Re: minigraf 3 underpinner
They are sturdy reliable little machines, simple to operate (half push down on the foot pedal to clamp the moulding then fully push down the pedal to fire a wedge) just ensure if you buy the machine that it has all the wedge blocks for the different sized wedges you may be using as new blocks are ap...

Re: cassese underpinner jammed
Brian It would help if you said which model of Cassese underpinner you have. Netherless With the power off can you pull (by hand) the head all the way forward towards the clamping jaws? as this is where the sensor for measuring the head movement is located, once the head is in that position switch b...

Re: Taurus Air Valve
Taurus fitted the Univer brand of valves to their machines so if you do a web search for the Univer number on the item you will find the parts online, if not then an alternate version would be available from other suppliers. Re: Underpinner question
According to Alfamacchine the U400 specs are actually:
Moulding width: 6mm-140mm
Moulding height: 6mm-80mm
Max distance between wedges: 200mm
Link: https://www.fletcherviscom.com/frame-jo ... /amp-u-400
in which case it may meet your requirements.

Re: Pro Turner underpinner question
Just to clarify. Early Pro Turners were made to accept the original Cassese wedges in the 1st design of the plastic chutes that only went up to 12mm in height. Cassese then changed the design of the plastic chutes (to the current version) so all the different size's of wedges came in chutes with the...
