Re: Tuition Wanted (needed!)

Martin,

I would recommend Richard at Atkins Framing in Livingstone. I have done several different training days with him, very patient and able to offer lots of good advice.

Re: Rose and Hollis courier?

So, what about those who have had good experiences with items delivered by DX? Have to say I am about to give up using Lion if they continue to use DX, last four orders all had problems, with moulding ending up in other part of country and receiving it days late, to it getting damaged as just throw...

Re: Pricing software

As all my IT is Mac based I use iFramer, has taken a while to get used to to it, but I really like it now. Subscription based and support from them is very good. They are always looking at how they can enhance to software and so far have found it fits my needs. Also bonus is that it links direct to ...

Re: SUMUP Credit Card Reader

Out of interest, do you have to pay a different rate for a Credit card as opposed to a Debit card ? Also, when do you actually see the money go into your account ? is that amount minus the fee ? This is all new to me : ) Thanks, Adam/Bagpuss The money tends to go into your account within 2 days fro...

Re: Quick Question on Client Consultation

An interesting topic and thanks for going into detail on what you are exploring. The challenge is millennials want things easy and cheap, they don't value things anymore. If businesses start responding to this lack of value there is only one place that business will end up, out of business. As an ex...

Re: Quick Question on Client Consultation

As a relative newbie, I am enjoying the direct engagement with the customer and helping them properly think out what they want. Online sales will result in higher percentage of customer getting something home and then realising that it was not quite what they needed. The advantage of having a framer...

Re: ok so simons have suggested this underpinner

I did my training on one of these and easy to use and would say great for starting out. I got a Cassese One Cart second hand which is similar and easy to use, otherwise I would have sourced the alpha.

Re: Ltd. Company

I recently started a new framing business and went Limited for several reasons, firstly it protects you financially should business struggle, secondly it was so easy to set up and very little cost. Having been a sole trader and Ltd over the years I say both do not take any more work (as I believe yo...
