Re: Top Presser Issue

Cut 2 small pieces of the same moulding on your Morso but with the rebate pointing the opposite way to normal and pin/glue the two cut pieces to form a chevron then just place the chevron upside down on top of the troublesome moulding, your top pad will then make contact with a flat surface.

Re: Cassese CS20 Cart Problem

Could be the pedal has failed which is becoming a very regular fault on Cassese machines since they started fitting cheap chinese branded pedals to their equipment.
If its under warranty contact your supplier.

Re: Minigraf 4 advice for a novice

Alfamacchine make a great range of underpinners so don't be concerned about there robustness or reliability, my only concern would be the fact you are primarily using 78mm wide moulding and the Minigraf 4 (depending on build date) is limited to either 2 or 3 different wedge positions and you may req...

Re: minigraf 4 problem

Either the clamp control valve is jammed in the 'on' position or the foot pedal valve is faulty.

Re: ok so simons have suggested this underpinner

Neither.
The UNI version uses changeable wedge blocks just like the Alphas, the Cart does not.
Both models suffer from cheap/nasty moulding fences and only use elastic to pull the wedges forward.

Re: ok so simons have suggested this underpinner

The Alpha is a solid machine but lacks some features that you may find handy, as others have said changing wedge blocks does become a chore even for small scale users and the inability to adjust the moulding fences also has an impact on joint quality. Personally i would look for a used Cassese Cs88 ...

Re: Looking for CASSESE CS940or similar

Russ The Cs940 is brand new to the market (i am yet to see one in the UK) so will be impossible to purchase second hand for the foreseeable future. Brevetti Prisma mitre saws are worth a look as their capabilities are similar to the Cassese, Wessex have them listed (new) on their website but these d...

Re: Another gap issue

There are only two things that can cause a non vertical cut on a Morso,
rebate height set incorrectly (as a previous poster said)
or
your blades have been incorrectly sharpened/distorted.

Re: Moving Morso F in saloon car

Morso's can be disassembled very easily for ease of car loading/weight distribution i have done it many times before, your only problem with a saloon car is getting the base of the cabinet through the door as this requires a wide opening rear door. Always remove the blades before taking the Morso ap...

Re: Underpinner Problem

On basic pneumatic underpinners the wedge is only fired once there is sifficent clamping pressure being applied, as yours is firing before the clamp makes contact with the moulding there must be some dirt / rust etc binding the vertical shaft that connects the cylinder to the top clamp beam hence ca...

Re: New Minigraf 4 User: Some advice please

That Minigraf has been tampered with, the wedge load cylinder should not jump back and forth when you press the pedal and the rebate clamp isn't working at all which indicates someone has re-piped the valves the wrong way round. Also (as Prospero said) do you have the wedges the correct way up? It s...
