Re: Fabric for wrapping

How funny, I didn't pick up the welsh accent - I suppose as I am also welsh I probably wouldn't! Just sounded normal to me!:) I will get back in touch, and say that Steve is on the case - I'm a little too busy this end in all honesty - and I've never fabric wrapped before either! Also Sarah - did yo...

Neck-Less Torso...

Morning all, I've been asked if I can frame a shirt to match a design seen on tinterweb - it seems pretty simple to achieve - when I've found the thing i need!! Basically the shirt is supported using a Flat torso mannequin - I've been able to find the overall shape but the mannequin still has a neck...

Favourite Job Of 2014??

Evening All, Was just having a browse through some of the jobs I did last year and came across a job which was probably my favourite of the bunch - so got me thinking what everyone else's favourite job was. Either in terms of overall outcome, ease, enjoyment or if everything just went perfect for a ...

Re: Aluminium frame corners opening

On a decent amount of wire - but spoken to Nielsen and they suggest it needs to be hanging from all four sides in order for this not to happen she to size - they've also suggested to use wire in a cross cross pattern to tighten it all together. I've spotted in lions a product calls titeframe so will...

But from the image he sent me - between me dropping it off and him hanging it...well if you check the top left and bottom right corners you can see they have come apart. Any ideas on how to recti...

Re: A little bit different

On a lighter note, but related - I once had a Signed Picasso etching in for framing (worth a few thousand) - the only reason he came to see me was because he couldn't get a frame from Wilko's that fit... Now I think we can all agree that there's defo something wrong with that!! :)

Re: Backing options?

I've previously been using Artbak Aqua, but the last batch of 100 I got came in bowed the wrong way! So also looking for something new! Wasn't too keen on Back/10 myself...sometimes it came in bent the wrong way which allowed a gap to form between mount and image...

Re: recommended framer in Cambridge

It does depend on the grade of Acrylic. You could use cheap styrene, which does have all those properties, or as you have found out - the best of the best TruVue Optium, which is anti reflective, anti static and doesn't scratch - However the cost difference between these two products can be astronom...

Re: How to join the backing to the mount for a deep mount.

Turn it upside down! Front mount with the face paper facing up, under mount lined up next to it...if using mount board, have the face paper also facing up... That should work

Deep joy, nice!!

Are these the ones you were telling me about at Spring Fair? (I was sat next to you at the Shirt framing seminar). They came out totally different to the ones I had to do! Really like the idea :)
