Re: Flu jabs

I've been in the "high risk if flu strikes" group for the last few years :( and had the flu jab with no ill/after effects, until this year  But this year for two days I felt like death warmed up :? So I sympathise Mark. On the bright side, I now get my jab at Sainsbury's :D no queue...

Re: Photos on social media, website

Ed209. Your welcome. :) kartoffelngeist. I'm still not convinced :? as I know a few framers who's advice I wouldn't take on stacking mouldings or cutting v-grooves :giggle: but I would take their advice on many other subjects and please don't get me started on Lawyers :x Anyway, changing the subject...

Re: Photos on social media, website

kartoffelngeist Beg to differ :? I believe these framers are (in the main) a smart bunch  and know their business. Anyway, try page 22 October issue of "art + framing Today". The article is entitled unambiguously, "Get your facts straight on art and copyright" ed209...

Re: Table saw

Well done for getting your table saw  Many moons ago I was visiting a "self build" exhibition in Harrogate. On one stand the show offer was a Dewalt flip over table saw for £600. :D It turned out to be one of my best buys ever. In one easy motion the table saw turns in to a chop saw ...

Re: Pricing stacked frames

Hi Alan :D I wouldn't presume to have a better pricing system than you. My pricing system relies on keen mental arithmetic and a good memory :giggle: One thing I always did (and still do) when I was in a more serious way of business, if I had doubts about a price was to say to the customer "can...

My foamboard has a drawer to it's self in my plan chest so have never noticed that problem  After reading your post I've set a piece up in a spare bedroom under the same conditions to see what happens to it :o Your right about our "pure clean Lincs. air" on the other hand we are a sea...

Hi paige3 and welcome to the FF. :D After years of owning a framing shop and gallery I now work in a much smaller way/space from a double garage . Although space is limited I have a Morso and a "flip over Dewalt table saw". If I was forced to give up one or the other it would be the Dewalt...

Hi Robert

Interesting introduction.

One of my best customers in the past was a very successful local artist, he too was colour blind and his wife also checked his colours.

Very best wishes for your new venture and welcome to FF.
