Re: Free to good home

Bump* Just a quick reminder i still have this moulding, i would rather give it away than throw it away but i need the space so i will give it a couple more days to see if there is any response then its being chopped up and thrown away. Just to make it clear "there are no catches" it is fre...

Hi Jay

Do you have another set of blades that have been sharpened by a different company?

Free to good home

I have just collected some machinery which came with some Arqadia canvas box moulding, as this is of no use to me i thought some one on this forum may be interested but they must be able to collect quickly as i need the space. Arqadia: 6 lengths of 611167000 (2.74m lengths) 4 lengths of 603167348 (2...

Re: Morso cutting problem

Hi Dave

Looking at your photos you need to put your blades on correctly as it appears (in your photo) that one is sticking out beyond the other this means the protruding edge will score your bottom blades everytime you do a cut, also there should not be a gap between the bottom blades.

Re: Mitre guillotine brand please

As Keith has rightly pointed out there is an online seral number checker, it states 1961 so not that old for a Morso, the very early ones were painted red it was only after WWll that the colour changed to green.

Re: Mitre guillotine brand please

It is a Morso, if you have the serial number (which is stamped in the top casting) i can tell you the year of manufacture.

Re: 3 x Morso Guillotines for sale

Saw one once that was only about five years old where the holes had nearly reached the outside. Exactly, once again the age of the machine is irrelevant its how its been treated that is more important. A major bug bear of mine is when you see Morso's advertised as good condition when they have chuf...

Re: 3 x Morso Guillotines for sale

Always buy on condition not age. as for the extras - the left arms when bought new are approx £125 and extra blades £220, these do not come as standard with new Morso's and no supplier will include these as a bonus. Just for general information the most expensive one has the preferable r/h steel mea...

3 x Morso Guillotines for sale

I currently have another 3 Morso F mitre guillotines ready for sale, as always they have been fully serviced / refurbished, all have metric scales and the blades have been freshly sharpened, prices vary depending on age / spec - but the one thing they all have in common is they all cut beautifully. ...

Re: cassese underpinner fault,

Hi Michelle
There is a white bodied (with grey end cap) electrical switch located underneath the clamping mechanism (accessible via the cabinet) this switch can work loose over time, if so just tighten back up the brass nut that holds it in place.

Re: Cassese underpinner - standard of underpinning

Hi Tina

No the underpinner is not right do not attempt any adjustments of your underpinner as this could affect your warranty, contact your supplier for them to rectify.

Jan
Could be worth even more if its producing its own oil but don't tell BP :D

But seriously the oil must be coming from an outside source, i take it the underpinner was new when purchased and not second hand?

Re: Cassese CS79

The cs79 does not contain any oil so it cannot be originating from your underpinner, whats above your underpinner?

Re: Cassese CS199MXL Air Op underpinner - Dry or Lubricated

As with all Cassese equipment if it requires lubrication then the machine will come with a auto lubrication unit fitted, your underpinner does not so none is required plus as your 199 has a filter regulator unit inside the case so adding lubrication oil to your airline would be pointless as it would...

Re: Cassese CS88 table extension

I was told a few years ago by the head engineer at Cassese that they never made any extension tables for the Cs88/89, the prototype was designed with one in mind (hence the slots) but it was never put into production as the weight made the underpinner fall over.

Thanks, that particular Morso was built in 76 and without the refurb would probably of ended up in a skip.
(all prices have now been dropped slightly from the prices quoted above)
