Re: food madness and useful tips

As well know, a LOT of us are likely to get this thing. Apparently, vitamin D is great for the immune system (which of course is vital to fending off infections etc) I have been taking large amounts of vit D supplements for a few weeks, and get out into the sunshine (a great source) whenever I can.....

Dremel advice....

Hi all, Having had a look-a-like Dremel for years (and it's pretty rubbish), I'd like to invest in a genuine one made by Dremel. Anyone got any advice/pointers, as Dremel seem to make a fair few, including a cordless version. Does the cordless have enough welly...and what accessories are must-haves ...

Re: Hello from Corinna in Notts.

Happy welcome, Corinna :handshake:

I'm sure someone will be able to help with that query - some great framing knowledge on here, as I'm sure you've seen.

Thank you for all that time teaching....I'm sorry you had to get out, but I totally understand why you did.

See you around the boards,

Paul :)

Re: Morso bolt sizes

If it's going in a car, put the heavy end (top) nearest to where you'll get it out of the car. Also, it's a great help to have a sheet of 18mm MDF or similar already in the back of the car to lay it on, as it'll slide in and out more easily on it. If you take offcuts of something like 3x2, you can s...

Thanks as always, Mark & Steve. Plenty of stuff to chew on there. Everywhere you look, it seems to be "D rings a third of the way down" etc. Great to have your real world solutions & tips. BTW, Steve I see you put the D rings on at an angle. I've never seen that before....an...

Re: Upside-down cutting....

Thanks for the encouragement, Mark. I'll be the first to say none of this comes naturally to me: I'm not at all artistic, and find the craft skills quite hard to master...hence my realistic view of how far I can take this. However, people seem pleased with my choices and efforts - and I do enjoy it ...

Re: Fitting out a workshop - help advice needed

The Underpinners? Sounds like a rubbish 60s Merseybeat-style combo.....count me in. We'll have to get an old Beatles gig poster, and forge our group's name low down on the bill. I wonder what our minor hit was called: 'Needles & Pins'....'A Dedicated Follower of Conservation (techniques)'....'Ri...
