V Groove blades
I am finding that after cutting a relatively small number of V grooves even with a new blade and the groove is no longer clean. The same blade cuts the bevel and straight cuts without problem. I imagine that V groove only uses the very tip of the blade which wears quickly?

Pens
For CMC's with a line drawing facility, what pens do you use? I've found some Faber Castell artist pens that seem ok.

Re: new blades
I've just bought a second set because when the first set were away for sharpening the Morso spare set just weren't good enough.

Compressor and computer for CMC
Would the small Bambi (9 litre reservoir, 50 litre/min) be sufficient as a dedicated compressor for a CMC in particular the Gunnar F1?

Re: Going 'chop'
Chop for the larger, more ornate, more costly mouldings and length for the simpler stuff. Estlite allows you to specify a mark up per moulding so I just account for the additional cost of chop in the mark up percentage and consistently use either chop or length for each. The additional mark up isn't...

New Morso rebate supports don't quite fit
Taller than the originals but that's not the problem. They fit into the bottom blade runners but the body of the rebate supports bind on the top of the bottom blades. I've cleaned and oiled everything but to no avail. Comparing with the originals the body is definitely a few millimetres deeper. Are ...

Glass cutting
On the Excalibur I sometimes find that although the sheet is scored right the way down it doesn't break cleanly, typically at the start ie top of the score the glass breaks at a slight angle away from the clamp. The result is a small nib preventing the sheet from fitting into its intended frame.

Re: Business Insurance - costs
NFU can include 'goods in trust' which covers anything to do with customers' artwork whilst it is in your shop. You specify how much cover you want for this but can temporarily increase it (for an increase in premium) should someone leave something really valuable with you.

Glass impurities
Comparing water white glass with standard picture glass the latter has a green tinge that I always thought was due to iron impurities. Is this right and if so why green and not a brown or red tinge?

Wanted Morso right hand rebate support
Somehow mine's got a slightly bent platform - it's the right hand support as you look at the Morso that I'm after.

Re: Filletmaster or FilletPro Measure & Cutter
I use a Fillet Master and love it, well built and easy to use. I had a habit of trimming just a little bit too much when using the Morso alone and then having to start again. Yes it is quite an outlay for something used only now and then though.

Re: Wall display panels for moulding chevrons
You can make them yourself: batten the wall, screw and countersink 9mm MDF sheet, cover with self adhesive brushed nylon available from Arqadia, Wessex, or I used http://www.abmshop.co.uk/velcro-friendl ... al-9-c.asp
Hope that helps.

I am trying to decide whether 'cool white', 'warm white' or 'daylight' LED bulbs are best suited to displaying artwork in the new gallery. Anybody any recommendations?
