Back in the 80’s you could still get the same price as being. Stretched when they where in fashion.
The pictures sold themselves and looked great in swept frames or 3” gold frames with linen slips, easy money.
Not so easy today as the internet net has killed it off.

Don’t tickle the glass give it some wellie, have a good work out and get it clean.

PVA is a good method as said above, You can also if the oil is not very textured, paste your board with PVA allow to dry until still tacky. Place your oil on the board, smooth out. Then cover with silicone paper or a glossy release film, then foam, place in a hot press on a low temp and the heat rea...

I use graphic art display glass cleaner http://www.framersequipment.co.uk/adhesives_lubricants_cleaning.htm With white ripped up cotton bedsheets, I wash at the end of the week (no softener). I also use blue roll paper and white gloves some times. I was trained to use water with a shammy leather and...

Your main problem is if you frame anything you must keep it in normal/ideal condition to stay flat 19 degrees +\- 2 degrees and not left in the damp, car, workshop or near heat, strong light, moisture, rooms like kitchens and bathrooms, conservatory where humidity changes. I seen many artist put all...

Re: Cassese 88 adjustment
Glad you got it sorted,
It a common problem on the old CS 88 but nothing that can’t be resolved on a normal service.
If you need replacement parts we still stock them and if your happy to replace them yourself we can supply them or do it for you on a service.
Kind regards
Mitreman

Re: Mount Recommendations – Student Artists Prints, Drawing paper / Giclee Ink
Justine, You should find with practice the hedgehog method very useful and easy to do. As Prospero pointed out The trick is to make the top hinges 'hard' (Stuck to the Bevel) as the main support and add as many 'loose' hinges to the sides and bottom so as to hold the paper down but allow a small amo...

I agree with Justin on float mounting them, also considered the the Hedgehog method of mounting which may hold them flatter and hold that weight easier.

Re: Advice needed on sports shirt framing please.
You can get engraved plaques made by trophy shops they charge by per letter. Find a good local shop, ask them for 4 designs you can display. Then you can add a bit on and charge the customer. But the Snag is, you must get the customer to write down the wording and check it with them, dates, names, s...

"Keep It Reversible" Don't devalue sport shirts or artworks by using double sided tapes as in the above video. Framing sports shirts can be done with fully reversible methods with out the need for double sided tape. Practice makes perfect and you price accordingly, give your customer opti...

Re: Cassese on1e wedges firing into deep
Looks like plastic moulding you are using? Wood is best.
Check to see if you are using hardwood wedges instead of normal?
Hardwood wedges may have a black dot on top of the cartridge or a white sticker saying hardwood.
Newer hardwood wedges have a yellow insert underneath.
