Hi Fusionframer I've edited your post to rotate the image. Once you've attached it, click on the small circle/arrow next to the attachment description and a thumbnail image of the photo will show. Then click or tap on the image itself. It will spin around. When it is in the right orientation click s...

Re: Retail
Good quality ceramics, fused or blown glass art, stained glass decorative items or mosaic art items seem to do well in some of the independent small gallery shops in this part of the world. Particularly if made by local artists.

Re: Black core conservation mountboard ?
Hi Is there such a thing as White /cream with Black core conservation mountboard? Simple answer is no. You can get solid black in cotton, but any black core with white or cream face paper isn’t Level 2 Conservation. It would be Level 4 Standard board. John mentioned Nielsen boards - a lot of their ...

Re: Alternative solution for joining deep frames
Well that's another set of clamps we're going to have to buy now!
For small frames at the moment, we find our Veritas 4 way speed clamps to be really useful.

Re: Fabric pieces
Padded pole - yes Into spacers - yes Don't think stretch - think support - and yes you could just do it that way on a rectangular framework and then swap it to the triangular one. My only concern in this instance would be the differing tension between what you can achieve for the support fabric on a...

Re: Fabric pieces
Great projects to do Justin (I flipped your photos for you :D ). For the jacket - because of the very boxy shape of it I'd be looking at created a padded pole, slotted into the sides of the frame (on the inside) itself. The jacket can then be support stitched to that in various places so that it is ...

Re: Hanging Removable Object in Box Frame
You could make a feature of it and use some kind of decorative hook, with a small shelf built at the right height to sit the handbag on. If you do a front opening frame - either hinged or slide on version - that would make access easier for her.

Re: Framing silks
Hi Rainbow If they are as thin as you indicate then you need to be very careful of stitching or pinning, as it can cause problems with what looks like "runs" where threads have caught and pulled slightly. If the edges have a hem, then it makes life easier for stitching - use holes that alr...

Hi Dave One of those things with multiple names, depending who you talk to. Raised float, platform or pedestal. Essentially hinged around a board slightly smaller than the artwork, a bit like a hedgehog method but I adapt it slightly when doing a raised version (just my preferred method) but still w...

Re: THAT FRIDAY FEELING!
Bamboo mouldings seem to go in and out of fashion. We got the chevron set from Lion PFS having seen it on one of our trips up there last year. Customer fell in love with it for a few pieces - including this memento of their honeymoon trip to Egypt. We used the large gold version, the artwork is atta...
