Re: Tape ..... estry
They asked "would it be possible to improve on this?" Had to tell them we would do what we could but the glue meant it was staying stuck to the wooden backing board. This time they have agreed to have a mount on the front of it to keep it distanced from the glass. This has been brought in ...

Re: Vans - buy? hire? new? old?
We just have graphics on our second car, the business car, and that's worked for us as regards advertising in the local area. We even drove it around Cornwall earlier this year, strangely we haven't had any business from it but lots of people noticed on the ferry going across. A van is though on our...

Re: Facebook help
Looks good, nice cover photo, lots of other examples and the video is helpful too. You need a bit more interaction with likers, so that the page doesn't just become a static advert. Once 30 people like your Page, you'll get access to "insights" about your activity, which provides statistic...

Steve, glad to hear that you will still be around and we can still count on your humour, experience and "can do" attitude. Don't suppose you will become the Wessex NI/Irish rep by any chance, that's in between doing the deliveries of course :giggle: Good luck in your new home. Rolf and Sam

Re: Workshop Re-flooring in Pictures
It's looking very clean and tidy Grahame, obviously lots of work put in to getting there. No doubt you'll start working on making it more "lived in" tomorrow. Hope you don't have too many back orders to catch up with. Thanks for sharing the photos with everyone.

Re: A Salute to Steve Goodall
Steve Who??? Only joking, Steve was a great help to us and many, many, many other framers both old and new. I hope he remains in the industry and I'm sad to hear he has left HotPress. His replacement has a hard act to follow. I hope Steve gets to read all of this and lets us all know what his plans ...

Hi Danny, welcome to the forum. Sounds like you're having fun and as you progress you'll probably find yourself making even more changes to your workshop with the addition of new pieces of kit. Good luck with the framing.

Hi Conrad and welcome to the Framers Forum.
You should also consider just over the border too because that would be just as handy for you. Sorry I haven't got one for sale myself but I'll keep my ears open for you.

Lying down on the pavement makes you look so much slimmer Stephen, must be all the exercise you've been watching and photographing.

Re: dry mounting-farm out
If you contact Steve Goodall from Hot Press, he should be able to tell you who is nearest to you with the equipment capable of mounting your prints. You can pm him on the forum or:
Email: hot-press@hotmail.co.uk
or ring him via the office on 0117 958 6500

Don't encourage them, I'm sure they could have if they'd tried
Might of been useful to have an introduction to the changes and perhaps an "idiots guide" to the more useful bits.

Re: Hows everyone coping with the new Arcadia web site?
Initially it was a trifle disconcerting and like Tudor Rose, we have problems with our "saved" password and user name being the wrong one. What took me ages was trying to find out how to login, it hides in plain sight innocently in the right hand corner but I'm damned if I could find it. S...

Re: First post guys. please help
As they are cheap prints I would see if you can get them laminated to the backing board either using a hot press or jetmounter. That should keep the cost down and solve the problem.
