Re: having problems since i updated
This error message is the result of setting a lower mark-up for less expensive mouldings than for the dearer ones, not something that we would want to do would do intentionally. The program has now been updated to be more forgiving when this happens. Many thanks, worriedwizard, for highlighting this.

Why the quote, Adam?
Have you tried clicking on "Print List" in the Stocked Moulding screen?

Re: Outputting my mouldings to Excel ?
I think that this is an Excel question rather than an EstLite one.
EstLite automatically consolidates all of your suppliers' lists internally, though you must turn this feature on (Options/Mouldings/Moulding Tables Used/All Suppliers).

Re: having problems since i updated
The best way to proceed, worriedwizard, would be to make a backup and attach the file (EstBackup.zip) to an email to me. jr at scenes.demon.co.uk

Re: I don't use "Waste Factor", do you ?
To clarify, the program applies the waste factor (if any) to each dimension. For the purpose of calculations we assume the moulding has a single dimension, length, defined as the perimeter distance around the outside of the frame. When computing the price of the frame, the program applies the waste ...

The items in Options/Prices (mountboard, glass, etc.) will have to be increased manually.
The mark-ups of all of your stocked mouldings can be increased by 2.5% by entering 1.025 into the "Mark-Up Column" box in the Moulding Table screen and clicking OK.

Re: Unites Inches
United inches (length + width of frame) is used by some basic frame pricing systems and is provided in order to ease the transition to EstLite for those who are accustomed to having that information. Because it is not used much outside of the USA, it is felt that United CMs would serve no useful pur...

Re: Cove box design, help please
Doing the cuts manually with a scalpel takes a bit of getting used to because if you get the depth of cut too shallow the card (i'm using white display board) tends to crease or pucker when I fold it. You will get better folds Trinity, if you use your mountcutter rather than a scalpel to score the ...

Re: Morso F Measuring Arm?
Roboframer, didn't you look at the PDF that you linked to? If you had you would have noticed that there isn't enough detail in the images to tell whether or not the machine has a vernier scale. But since the manual referred to it as a vernier, as did you, I assumed that it must be so. Why would I th...

Nope Roboframer, I didn't know that your Morso did not have a vernier scale until you posted the picture.
What are you saying?

Re: Morso F Measuring Arm?
Yep, roboframer you did get the terminology wrong.
Anyone who thinks "a small movable scale that slides along a main scale" makes it a verner scale, or insists that a Morso has a vernier scale, does not know what a vernier scale is.
Sorry, I seem to have donned my nerdy hat again.

Re: Morso F Measuring Arm?
I see how you might have come by that mistaken notion Abacus, and you appear to be in good company. Roboframer’s Morso scale does look a bit like a vernier in that there are two scales, a fixed one and a sliding one. But there the similarity ends. The layout and function of a vernier is completely d...

No need to labour the point Roboframer, I understand, I think we all understand.
Like I said it is a matter of personal preference.

Re: Morso F Measuring Arm?
Thanks Roboframer. It is an interesting picture. I think you must have an older machine than I have seen before, it looks more robust than the later models which have more aluminium. Disappointingly however I'm not seeing a vernier, just a straight measuring scale. Perhaps Morso erroneously refer to...

Box-In-Box
Arguably, you get away with that Roboframer. I suppose it is a matter of personal preference for I used to make similar frames myself and at the time thought that they were pretty nifty. But I think I've moved on and no longer feel that the only solution to deep object framing is to throw more wood ...
