Re: How to attach this artwork to mountboard

Thanks for the input. I have some MDF off cuts so I'll explore that option.

It's not heavy at all. It was previously glued to mountboard and there was no sign of tearing so I'm fairly confident it would hold.

Yes, the customer wants to hang it unglazed.

Much appreciated folks

Re: How to attach this artwork to mountboard

Thanks prospero, but I need to leave a small gap between the artwork and the window mount (see top pic). The customer also wants it unglazed, so it needs to be fixed without swinging. Would tape (PH7-70 self adhesive conservation) on the back be enough to hold it? I've never used it directly on to a...

How to mount these?

Hi Folks I have a customer who wishes to surface(?) mount these small prints using a deep frame and a spacer. How do I attach these to a mountboard so they don't swing out when hung or crumple due to expansion/contraction? There is actually 5 of them, across a single piece of mountboard. Any thought...

Re: Hanging Artwork Flat Against Wall

Edit - I should say that I mean as vertical as possible. I assume that there should still be an air gap in behind?

Hanging Artwork Flat Against Wall

Hi Folks

I have a customer who wants to hang 12 framed artworks flat against a wall.

Are there any hanging systems/tools that can manage this?

Thanks

Re: Chevron question

Thanks for the additional thoughts added here. Mark, you're absolutely right. There is no reason why 4, 5, 6 wouldn't work. It's what suits each of us individually for our premises, sales areas and personality. And as you mentioned, making somebody glad they came in is the goal. If you are easy to w...

Re: Chevron question

Hi I'm a relative newcomer (couple of years in the game). So take with a pinch of salt :) What I have found works (and I'm really just reiterating what your previous responders have said) is having a small selection and focusing on discussing the customers needs. Mostly, they don't know. But you can...

Calculating Slip & Frame Size

Hi folks I have received my first request for a frame with a slip (I think that's the right terminology - normal frame, glass, wooden inner frame, artwork). So to process this order in Estlite I calculate the window size and enter the inner frame (slip?) ID? Then I add a "+" symbol and ent...

Re: estlite on parallels for mac

Hi - might be a bit late here. Yes, this is my setup - parallels running Estlite and it works fine, although, I am afraid to do the updates just in case it stops working. So that might be a problem. My own plan is to pick up a cheap windows machine solely for Estlite and not have to deal with parall...

Moulding Lengths

Hi all I hope you are well. Is it possible for Estlite to calculate the length of moulding required for a frame? I currently work it out separately. I see a highlight "Get moulding length" but cannot figure out how to utilise it. Or even if it does what I'm hoping it does. Best wishes David

Re: Taking Orders

Hi Justin

Thanks for your perspective. That's definitely something worth thinking about. I don't want to duplicate processes so that's something I will look into.

Much appreciated.

Taking Orders

Hi Folks I hope you are all well and getting customers again. I currently just take a sheet of blank paper whenever someone comes in and write/sketch everything down on it for the job (pricing done through Estlite). I feel that this doesn't quite convey the air of professionalism and quality I would...
