Re: No way round this?
We use a saw but the same principal. Mark your own measuring scale onto a piece of wood and either clamp it to your morso arm or get someone to hold it while you set your moulding in position.

Re: Framing oil on 5mm ply
One thing occurred to me about the dimensions of the ply, if it's from b&q I wouldn't have thought they do anything larger than 2.4 x 1.2m so is the painting on more than one piece?

Probably sublimation printing is a better option. But you need sublimation printer and hot press for that. Blanks can be bought from someone like express.co.uk

We usually just make a chevron out of a piece of flat planed timber and put that in front. That does the trick.

Valiani trophy PLT file
Hi, we don't have Corel draw unfortunately and we have a customer who would like something similar to the champions league trophy cutting out of some mounts. We use V-Studio on a Valiani. Does anybody have one as a PLT file you would be willing to share please?

We use these Adam, http://www.acpackaging.co.uk/acatalog/U ... ofile.html but we are close enough to collect from them. Also I think Kite packaging do them as well.

Same here, we used Dreamkeepers when we offered them, decent trade discount, good product.
Whilst on the subject did anybody manage to find a supplier for the acrylic domes at a reasonable cost?, the ones from Simon's are too expensive and half of them are usually scratched.

Re: Cassese 969 smart stop or no smart stop?
We've got the saw but not the smart stop. I saw one in action a few weeks ago in another frame shop and I must admit I wish we had it, but can't really justify the price tag on it. Re: Moulding ID please
Arqadia do something very similar in two widths, the 35mm wide one is 255201000 then there is a wider one. Can’t tell from your photo but this one has a touch of gold in it as well so not completely black.
