Re: Backing board, how do you store yours?
We do all our framing on the first floor above the shop, and keep all the boards there as well. We tend to put new batches when they arrive on the landing of the first floor, so the heat will be rising from the shop floor I suppose. My thought is maybe they are slightly damp when they arrive and whe...

Backing board, how do you store yours?
We use PLK conservation or Simons Back10 for backing board, different companies seem to have different trade names for it. Basically it is the cardboard type with a water resistant coating on one side and a white acid free lining on the other. Lately we have found that it is warping quite badly and ...

We use canvas offsets, have a look on the lion website. They come in different depths depending how far your canvas protrudes.

Re: Elavon merchant services
We have used them for the past few years and never had any trouble with them. Looking at the prices you quote that is better than we are getting, we pay 21p for debit cards and 1.95% for credit cards. Terminal is £20 a month. Previously we used streamline which was quite a bit more expensive. Think ...

Re: Does anyone make their own plaques for Footy shirts ?
Hi Adam,
We do our own sublimation plaques for framing shirts, photos etc. If you let us know what you want and the sizes I'm sure we could sort something out.

Re: Question for those who frame sports shirts...
We use a combination of tags and stitching as necessary but mainly tags and place them either through existing stitched seams, or as a lot of modern shirts have small holes in for ventilation, through those. But always where they can't be seen. We also use acid free faced foamcore as a former and ta...

Re: Perspex domes for sports memorabilia
Hi , I have used them and found them pretty good, I do both box frames and the acrylic dome. You really need an example framed up in your shop to show it off properly or people can't visualise how it will look. The ones we have used fit a boxing glove or a boot with a plaque or photo perfectly. We g...

Hi Everyone, I am new to the forum but have looked in a few times in the past. Excuse me if I ramble on a bit. I am the installation in Manchester that Joe refers to in his reply to this post. We are originally a family run china and giftware retailer established over 40 years ( hence the name ). I ...
